Humboldt beat Trenton 88-38, I heard was the final score. Looks like the football players are getting in shape & VIKES are beginning to get chemistry! Humboldt plays Milan tonight & host southside Tuesday for a big rematch!

Humboldt will host Southside Monday night. The Hawks will be a very tough rematch but this would be a big win if the Vikings can pull it off. Being no Christmas Tourament this year it will be the last game before the Holiday break. Good luck Vikings!

Hopefully, Humboldt can come out and play four quarters because in first game, Vikes were down by about 24 points in the 4th quarter with about five minutes left and made a great comeback but to late. Humboldt will have to play under control & good team defense to win!

Wardawg..I know Lake Co plays Union city on Jan.6 followed by Liberty the next night on the 7th.I've heard a rumpur that the makeup game is going to be the following Sat. which will be Jan.14..Is there anything official or just a rumour?

Lake Co. plays Brentwood High at 6 pm on Wed. Dec. 28th in the Hickman Co. Christmas Tournament at Centerville,TN. Bigster as far as the 14th haven't heard for sure on that but will let everyone here on the T know as soon as I know. We do play UC and Liberty back to back on Jan. 6th and the 7th. That is a tall task for 2 consecutive nights. On another note who won the Humboldt/southside game last night?? Could not find the score anywhere. Fill us in.

Southside wins 83-72, the game was close until the last few minutes & SS hits free throws and comes out with a win. Humboldt ends first half of season at 8-5 with loses to southside(2), lake county(1), Ripley(1) & middleton. Humboldt will not be playing in any tournaments, so will have a long beak before next game, this could help the Vikes or hurt them due to long layoff, but we will know first game of 2012!!!

Greenfield finishes the first half of the season at 4-6, after losing to Martin last night. The Jackets held close for a half, but then Martin pulled away in the second half. Martin's coach made some very good adjustments at half time....

 

Greenfield's record is not great at 4-6, but we've had some very close losses to some good teams in that 6 losses....lost by 7 at Humboldt...lost by 3 to 5A Henry Co....lost by 3 to UC...and barely lost to Gipson Co., and in fact should've won that game; just didnt finish it after being up by 9 late in the game.

 

I'm hoping we'll come out in the second half of the season, and start winning these close games...then, get ready for the tourney. I dont think anyone will beat Lake Co. though for the top spot.
