Right, that's the way I understand it. It's theirs to lose. If LC wins out they would take 2nd? Correct? Our District record is the same but we lost head to head. Or is it because FV's overall record is better?(It doesn't matter why) The point is, FV has to lose for ANYONE else to get a shot at 1st right?

Marshall County fans ain't talking much.... What's up with that?? :roflol: :roflol:

It's the official Marshall County welcome wagon LC. We have been dealing with it for many years. At least the lights didn't go out or the scoreboard malfunction when you got close.

I do believe you are incorrect. Giles won the district last year with the same record as fv. If marshall loses it goes to GC. There can be a tie. Regardless fv should be the highest 3a team in the district

Actually it is a 3 way tie between Fv, MC, and Marshall. But if fairview wins out= Auto district champs, no matter what anyone else does.

 

Nope. If Fv wins out they would need help to avoid a tie.

Giles has to lose or they will tie Fv.

Marshall wins out + Giles wins out + Fv wins out = 3 way tie.

Marshall & Giles both have to lose for Fv to win it out right.

Lewis beats Marshall + Giles wins out = Giles district champs again.

 

Wasting our time on this right now. It won't be decided until week 10. By what Page does. :shock:

I always thought if Lewis wins out Fairview would be the champs cause of head to head play. If Giles wins out i would think that they would be the district champs. but who knows. It's weird.

If all 3 teams were to win out, it would be overall wins as the tie breaker, which in this case fairview would have only lost one, and giles and MC both lost 2. Its that simple

Only district games count towards district champion. It's that simple

 

as for th playoffs fv is going to make it with a great record. Looks like they are vying for second

      Honestly the A.D. may be powerless at Maryville to some degree versus other schools. I know he has his hands full with GoFan and all the stupid surprises just from the emails he sends out during the season.

      Harriman was better than what I anticipated. They had good skill guys and a QB that’s gonna make a lot of teams look silly. They had some silly pre snap penalties but it’s just spring and I guess that’s expected.    Oneida looks the part. They are big upfront and got a stable of backs that’s gonna carry them this year. They have a few playmakers at receiver also. They have a new receiver that has only played basketball till this year and he is very athletic. The question is can we find a QB to consistently get them the ball. They played 2-3 kids there and none looked great but they didn’t look awful either. The  defense is gonna be tough again but it’s very early and a lot can change between now and the fall.     It was good just to get out and watch some ball. I don’t know if Oneida has the team to win the region this year but just what I saw tonight I think they may be in the conversation come November.
