this is correct....you wonder why Murvul has no super stars? they are taught TEAM work.....you rarely see a Rebel go D-1 & make it big.....these boys know what it takes to win....

It should not be about having a finalist or not in the Mr. Football awards. Any true champion will tell you personal glory is great but unless you win your last game and get that Championship a Mr. Football Award is a hollow victory. I agree with you support your team cheer them on as they work toward a team championship but remember the old coaching adage "THERE IS NO "I" IN TEAM" :thumb:

How can Da Haven not have any Mr. Football Finalists? Best Defense and arguably best team in state. We SHUT DOWN Brain Kimbrow and everyone else we played. Well guess we will have to prove it for 4 more weeks. Feel sorry for the teams in 6A now disrespecting Da Haven like that.

Tell me how you get the teams in 6A disrespecting Da Haven because no one on their team was nominated for an individual award? Isn't Da Havens's real goal a state championship? That will be done by a team not an individual. Good luck finding that respect.

Sometimes the best teams are just built that way and play great together! I personally love those kind of teams! Best wishes! :thumb:

      Richland plays at McKenzie on Wed.  Should be a good series.  Does Richland have good pitching?

      Congratulations to the Warrior baseball team winning the Region Championship.  Last night the football team beat Franklin Co 33-0 in their spring scrimmage. Warriors looked very good. Missing a few players who were playing baseball but still absolutely dominated. A lot of young ones got in halfway through the 3rd when the score reached 33-0. QB Tilton Pickett looked very sharp.  Sam Pickett is on another level this season. Seems to have put on 15 to 20 lbs in the off season and added a step as well. Transfer from last year Williamson caught numerous balls and is very elusive. Lots of athletes on this team. Defense was smothering and will only get better. The head coach from Sewanee was in attendance and offered 2 kids after the game. Could be a special year.
