What are you talking about he is the best coach in the nation. Did you know that when he drinks, he drinks Dos Equis!

If you don't believe TL is the best coach in the nation...just ask him! He wil tell you & I quote "TL is the best coach in the nation!" That would be a direct quote from TL himself! You heard it from him first.

is TL the only guy in the running? is it official that he has applied and wants the job? surely a job like this would create some sort of interest besides one coach.

His father-in-law? What is he the mayor or something.

Geeez polarsloth, your like a bad case of jock itch. And you wonder why everyone drives fast thru your town?

TL's dad is not mayor. He's a god, actually the god of the sky and the ruler of all the other gods. TL is only half god half mortal, but he's a powerful hero that slays titians. Dont you watch movies?

I think you remember the last time TL was at Oneida. The Indians put up 35 points in the first quarter against Coalfield. Went on to win 49-0! Seems like ages ago but it was only 3 years.

Should have some news next week or so!

Why would it be news? It's been done since before the season was over. Just wonder what it cost the mayor up there to pull it off? TL as you all call him is losing a lot of respect in the coaching community bouncing around like he has. Some people at Scott Co. Are done with him, and that's his home school . One things for sure, He's walking in to loaded team next year . Oneida should win the district no matter who is the coach.

So what if Tony Lambert wants to go to Oneida. he is just making a good decision. He probably realizes that he can't win at Scott County. You can't blame a guy for trying to better himself. I always have liked Lambert. He got his first shot at coaching at Wartburg under Polar Bear Larry Davis. I knew he would make a good coach and he will have a very strong team at Oneida. I have also heard that Gary Kries at Coalfield also applied for the job. Anybody down in Coalfield know this to be true? Any way best of luck to Lambert. All the haters are going to hate. Just do your thing.

Who cares what Oneida did to poor little old single a coalfield 100 years ago. Come on over to GCA next year and find out what a real aa team looks like. I dont think your 20 somthing seniors with the return of "THE" TL will be enough to get it done come playoff time next year.

Heck I like TL too, even played softball with him way back in the day a time or too. He is a good coach, but I have to say if all the rumors are true about the politics it makes me sad. some are saying this the second time its gone down this way. where there is smoke there is ususally fire. But, with all that said he will have oneida playing well.

    • They’ve both gotten worse. I’ve seen enough games to know that.
    • The only two transfers that Bearden has gotten that went on to play college football were a defensive back from Karnes, who transferred here way before the new coaching staff got here, and a running back from Carter, who went on to play at Maryville College. Both players received those offers while at Bearden, and both players got a diploma from Bearden High School. Therefore, they are Bearden kids, and you can’t do anything about that.   The transfer from Seymour didn’t win the job, what do you expect two quarterbacks to start at the same time? He played great on JV when he could stay healthy, and when he came in on varsity, he did great. The quarterback position is definitely going to be in good hands when the current starting quarterback leaves, but until then, they’re just going to be battling it out like every good quarterback competition does. The current starting quarterback has his flaws, and that is in the pass game, but what he doesn’t have flaws is running and scrambling, and if you go back and watch any game, which I’m sure you didn’t watch any, we used him very often, and when we needed a deep ball, we brought in the transfer from Seymour. The starting quarterback last year will be a senior this year, and the Seymour transfer will be a junior, so the Seymour transfer is definitely going to get his spotlight. He may even win the job this year. Football isn’t about who the newspaper thinks is the best kid. The best kid in the position will win the starting job, and I trust the coaching staff more than a newspaper or article to pick my starting QB.
    • I mean, we’ve only gotten two transfers that went on to play college football, one who went to UT Martin came his second semester junior year before the new coaching staff was here, and the other one went on to play at Maryville College, in which I don’t believe he had any interest prior to transferring.
    • An FYI: To see how an opponent has done against another opponent since 2001- go to the game by clicking on one of the teams. Click the G beside the game. For example, Milan: The info will show you the previous matchups and other info.
    • All these college signees went yo other schools for 3 years, were getting college offers then transferred to Bearden. It’s not like this staff did much to develop them.    The BBall coaches son and the Seymour transfer were some of the most talented QBs in the region, and you guys developed them into QBs who might complete one pass a game.
