I agree BVD with all the Alcoa fans I was around were very good fans. You run into stuff like that at every stadium in the state, that's why you always have the boys in blue at every high school game. The Alcoa people were as good as any I've talked to.I've been to games in TN,that whole bunches of guys were drinking and trying to start fights{and did}.

found out today that the alcoa v greeneville series probably will not be continued.....heard that security had to step in and basically stop an alcoa fan who evidentally grabbed one of our players as they went to thelocker room at halftime and said to him " how'd you like that B***H"? also heard that alot of greeneville folks were treated horribly by the alcoa faithful....personally, i was treated with nothing but respect by every alcoa person i encounered....i was even escorted to the alcoa alumni dinner to get some sweets when i had a diabetic episode...im not revealing where i heard this, or which player was grabbed, because that's irrelevant, i just hope that somehow, someway, this series can continue. i think both programs benefit from it, HOWEVER, if this stuff is what's happening, no matter where it's happening, i cant blame them for not continueing the series. i just thought there was a level of respect between the two programs that transcended this sort of crap...i guess every school has its share of buttholes, even ours. anyway, i had several people ask me at the game if the series would be continued after this year and I didnt have an answer, and STILL may not have the correct one here, im just passing along something I heard.....

If any Greenville fans were disrespected by any person wearing Alcoa attire. From the true Alcoa Faithful i apoligize for any and all the people who disprected you as a person and as a Greenville fan. It is bad for the boys that play and the school in general.

Yea, it's not just an issue at one school, every school has butt holes. East Ham played Alcoa in freshman football last year down here and we returned the trip this year. Nothing but class folks I met, true football fans I am sorry to here this. But trust me it happens a lot at other schools.

I was told by a Greene Devil player Friday night that the Alcoa fans were awful to them as they went to the locker room for halftime. He said they were lined up and was screaming and cursing them as they tried to make it to the locker room. Everyone I met at Alcoa was very nice. There is bad apples every where and they cast a negative light on every school. I just wish they would stay home.

Maybe the AD needs to look at visiting teams taking another route to the field instead of having them come thru a high traffic area (that for sure has some knuckleheads in it.)

Going through the middle school gym and out the door by home basketball lockers would be best.

Keeps them away from everyone, really.

That is something that probably needs to be done, but I wouldn't let something like this stop a great game in the future. You can't let a few rogues ruin everything.I'd keep this game and pick up Dobyns-Bennett{both teams},so my friday nights would be a whole lot more interesting in the future up here in Kingsport.Alcoa,Greeneville and J Fred in Kingsport are three great places to see a high school football game, with three very proud fan bases.Let the AD's and coaches make that happen !!
