It may work out great, but it is hard to go back where you have been before. If he had retired, and was coming back to the school out of retirement, it would not be a big issue, but he left the school for another job, so there will probably be a small number of people that will not be entirely happy if they hire him back and will be watching every move he makes.

Then why do you think he was asked to leave before, and yes, he was asked to leave. Should've won 2 more Championships, but can't beat anyone twice. Terrible inside the school. Terrible with other coaches. Doesn't fit the mission statement whatsoever. Winning is not everything! Helping kids grow into men is way more important. Catholic will win because they are moving down to 4A, but Pemberton should not be back on campus. Amazing that they would even interview him. Last post on the this topic. We'll see soon enough.

Maybe they are having a tough time finding a good coach that is Catholic, is that a requirement?
