The last time McMinn played Riverdale in Athens then Alabama signee #5 Eric Locke broke us down like a shotgun. We could not lay a hand on him much less try to tackle him.

Hopefully the roles are reverse this time and Riverdale has a difficult time catching our dynamic duo in the McMinn backfield.

GO TRIBE!!!

There are no common opponents but Blackman beat Riverdale 20-16 in week #8 and Bradley who McMinn beat twice played Blackman and Bradley beat Blackman 23-21 in week #5.

McMinn 26

Riverdale 21

GO TRIBE!!!

How did this application of the transitive property work out for ya?

Congrats to the Cherokees on an outstanding season and to the Riverdale Warriors for moving on. I would say "survive and advance" but this was more like No Quarter.

Impressive win by the Warriors. Not much time to celebrate this one with Siegel coming up.

Defense has now given up 24 points over the last four games. All four of those games were against 6A playoff teams and three of those teams were seeded higher than Riverdale. Not bad for a beat up, patched up defense.

Kudos to the special teams for another good job. It's always noteworthy when the kicker puts up enough points to win the game. You really can win games with defense and special teams.
