Potential 1A AllState Players

I agree all of these are good players Croz. I don't think SP has near many possibilities though. What you think?

Johnson, Lankford, and Stone for sure.

The problem is Lankford didn't stand out with a healthy Johnson on the field, the same with Hale.

Stone should get it for defense. In another system, he could've had the stats to be one of the top QB's in the state.

I don't know what Mitchell, Hale, and Fitzgerald's defensive stats, but they stood out to me Friday.

Jones also stood out, but from what I understand he's been hurt most of the year.

I knew he'd be a matchup problem for us, and he was.

Old Pirate says Johnson & Stone for sure...and Lankford a maybe! OP feels good about Lankford, Mitchell & Fitzgerald for next year as the play makers for SP.

Coalfield had an all-state player as a freshman last year, so I don't believe its reserved for only upper classmate.

Coalfield had two Cody Hill and Anthony Wilkins, which one was a freshman thats very unusual for a fresh or soph getting it unless they play a crazy tough sched like Pitt does and have crazy big numbers,Bibles are good but you have Johnson Lankford, and the kid from Gordy and Seymour from GB was a preseason all stater to compete with all are Srs except fpr Lankford a Jr.Lankford may have made it as a soph. • You wanna talk about zoned for Bearden.  Lol.  I don't think so.  But my point was who can blame a kid for not wanting to be in a private school.  Nobody is zoned for a private school, it's a free country right?
    • Great win for the Pirates. State Tourney bound !
    • You're talking about the running back, right? I don’t believe he was zoned for west, but there were numerous players that came from TKA a few years ago and still are. I’m sure some are, but the majority aren’t.
    • Gratitude abounds for Blake Satterfield, whose five-year tenure as the head coach and exemplary ambassador for Trousdale County and its educational system has left an indelible mark. His strategic leadership during playoff seasons was nothing short of remarkable. Anticipating that his future endeavors will be equally impressive.  Perhaps the board members will refrain from undermining the incoming coach as they did in Blake's case.
    • Yeah that's true, I was talking more about football.  If you go to a TKA game, there's nobody there.  The only people there are the parents of cheer and parents of players.    The kid that left and came to West was zoned for West and decided to quit private and go public school.  He won two state championships at West, so hard to blame him there.
