Had some good banter but want to take time to say to all wishing you all a safe and happy thanksgiving !

Safe travels to the game, hope its a close game and most importantly injury free game!

Hope you and yours have a great Thanksgiving! Mt. Carmel ,now that is some big-time football! Seen them on TV a few times but was first introduced to the school when I saw their Rugby Team back in "03. Now that is a real man's football! Except at Maryville, our girls Rugby team is one of the best in the State. You can only imagine how tough our boys must be!

StarRaydurr iz hitt trew thait tha Stars play wif a vurry faist tempo???.....

Siegel? Fast tempo? Do bears bear? Do bees be? I could be fooled here, and Mrs. StarRaider says a gnat with a lobotomy could fool me, if Stockstill was in - then Siegel would be play their Oregon on steroids tempo. With the backup QB, they may not be able to keep it up. Siegel scored quickly all year (but that is probably since they only play crappy teams from a crappy district from the posts I am reading here).

I do know that the players are excited to have a chance to play Maryville after playing same ol same ol same ol for the past three weeks, and are looking forward to the Maryville caravan showing up Friday in the boro. Everyone have a happy Thanksgiving and safe travels!

Siegel did run a hurry hurry, but now not so much with a QB and a # 1 receiver with torn ACL. wish Maryville could have got them at full strength. also heard that siegel coaching staff was at Maryville game on district 7's bye week. siegel has been preparing for this matchup since week 7.before injuries they would snap ball about every eight seconds. a lot like Oregon.

LOL!!!! You are right you won without Robinette playing the second half, he did not even last one half againist a 7AAA team without their hardest hitting and leading tackler, but you won, because of a bad snap on the Smyrna team. Really dominated them didn't you!!!! LOL just think how many QBs you guys would go thru if you had to face a 7AAA team every week like Siegel!!!!LOL!!!! Smyrna's running back was hurt limping almost after every play, he still played, I think he was voted MVP!!!! He was not scared, but then he was not a soft D1 QB LOL!!!!

Not only did Robinette get hurt. Maryville's best receiver (Desmond Horne) was playing with a badly sprained ankle.

    • If y’all lose to Farragut something awful has happened.
    • Get him to Bearden ASAP! Or anywhere, Karns hs is in rough shape, probably not getting out of it anytime soon.
    • I'm not a Powell grad.  I am a Bearden grad.   My son and daughter are Powell grads.   I did radio play by play for Powell, my last year was 2013. I also did radio play by play for South Doyle, and my last gig was at Maryville before I retired.   My oldest grandson plays in the Karns Middle program, so I see more Karns games than I do Powell these days.  I've been to 3 Powell games since 2013.   I don't have any ties to Powell, haven't since 2013.   No "y'all" there.    And the kid you are talking about does have a very good arm, but he's not the QB that Deuce Rogers is.  Rogers is a legit dual threat guy.  The younger kid now at Clinton, or about to be at Clinton, isn't the dual threat that Rogers is.
    • No sir. I watched it specifically and it was very dirty. He cleated the boy on purpose. Apparently, it’s an issue in football as well from what several schools have said. That said, looking forward to a good game 3. ER hit it well in game 2.
    • He is the transfer. 5star spoke on him in their new qb1 series. Didn’t list em as a transfer but I knew the name
