all the Bearettes have been a little quite when the mustangs came knocking on the door. what happens when BC goes up against some real competition??

I suspect the Bradley Central girls aren't shaking in their tennis shoes at the thought that WV played them somewhat close. As dominating as the Bearettes have been in the District, I think it's easy for them to occasionally play down to the level of their competition. It was probably a good wakeup call for them as they're about to enter the District Tournament.

When the Lady Mustangs beat them, then you can brag - but it may be a couple more years before that could happen.

I think it kind of exposed Bradley's need for a true point guard.

Cleveland impressed me tonight. A very athletic team, and they have some shooters too. If they host the Region, they certainly have a chance to beat Cookeville. First round game against a pretty strong White County team is no gimme, but playing at home will be a huge help.

Wouldn't surprise me for the Region Championship game to come down to two teams from District 5AAA.....definitely Bradley, and possibly Cleveland playing against them.

McMinn was 2-1 against White County this year (and even beat District 6 champ Cookeville by 19 earlier in the season). Anything can happen, but from someone who's seen both teams play several times, the Cleveland team I saw play Bradley last night will soundly beat White County by double digits.

Well the Regions pretty much went the way I thought for the most part.

Now to the real games. Bradley has a tough road to travel, but get a VERY good Blackman team at home Saturday night. They have only lost 4 games, all to cross town and defending champ Riverdale.

Gonna be a good one.

Several of us are coming down to watch the Bradley/Blackman game.

    • Sorry Barn. I wasn’t specific enough. It seems I’m always protecting the principal at 825. My interactions with her have been extremely positive, but very limited. With all the other stories being told, I’m confident there are other sides I am not aware of. Regardless, there are lots of decent people earning good checks up there. Maybe too good, which explains why no one is willing to speak up. My beef is with the poor communication among the athletic programs and with the administration. Seven years ago the poor communication led to my son missing graduation due to a sporting event that was planned months before. I chalked it up to the system being totally shocked that the baseball team made it out of their district, and our then AD was a football coach. Maybe they were surprised and did not plan appropriately. That was more palatable than they just didn’t give a crap. Déjà vu, seven years later, same thing. Different administration, but same result.  Maybe in seven more years, it will actually be “about the kids”. They should do better.
