Maybe the connection is that Peden is a good coach that did a great job at MTCS. I highly doubt that they would have had a deal in place before asking Martin to leave. All this talk about Peden is pure speculation at this point based on the reporting of JohnJohn who, no offense JohnJohn has not revealed his sources. We need some pics of Peden on campus to verify. Maybe someone could camp outside the school like we did when waiting for Peyton!

2 coaches that I have a great deal of respect for are Coach Martin (Goodpasture) and Coach McCadams (Lipscomb). Both have always had successful programs and done it with CLASS!

My guess is he was asked to resign which certainly makes it "time to move on". I don't know him well but from what little I do know of him and what I know about football, Goodpasture just made a mistake.

I heard from a very reliable source that former player Phillip Anthony has been contacted about the job. He has been assistant at Pope John Paul, Jo Byrns, and Ezell Harding. He played for Martin and understands the tradition of the program.
