So he "stepped down" with no loss in pay? A drivers ed job that pays around $60,000 a year and everyone in town lining up to pay $2500 a pop to join his scam. You Carthrage fans should really think long and hard before making jokes about what Pemberton was paid.

Nah...he was offered a job by his friend Pemberton. That's a stretch to say he would have come. He turned Pemberton down before he bolted for Brentwood. Macon came calling again when Pemberton left. He turned that down too. I think that says a lil something...don't it?

Finley from Cheatham County applied. He has a winning record over the last 11 years and is coming off of a season where his team reached the quarterfinal round of the playoffs. I think he would have been very happy to stay in Ashland City and coach elsewhere but he didn't get any looks from the two Metro schools he applied at. I think he would be a great choice for the Owls if he were given a chance.
