I never said a field doesn't change the game I said they are all playing on the same field and that it doesn't hit field or throw the ball.

I am sure that happened 10 years ago and have no reason to doubt that story but 10 years ago we had a 4 foot high fence at the same dimensions now the fence is 15 feet tall. so no Texas leaguers are going to inch it over on a line I assure you. It is however an excuse our district rivals have used for 3 years and I expect nothing less of them this year

As ksgovols stated it is a definite mental advantage for Camden. Now is there anything wrong with that? No, it is part of their home field advantage. Since baseball is such a mental game, when you change things up, it is going to mess with high school athletes. Opposing hitters will begin to over swing, opposing pitchers start trying to pitch so finely that is goes against them. Advantage Camden. I don't know their W-L record at home the last couple of years, but I would venture to say it is pretty solid.

    • Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
    • I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
