He came pretty close to doing it in his first season here. If I remember correctly, we went from having around 50 varsity players to over 90.

I agree, we will give him time. But I don't think it will take him too long to be competing for championships in 5A. Look at the 5A competition in the area. Catholic, AC, Seymour, Central, Lenoir City, Halls, Tennessee High, Cocke County, Davy Crockett, Clinton, South Doyle, and West. I think we can hold our own with those teams. We should be playing in a state semi final game at the least within the next few years.

 

The fundraising is way past getting started. There will be rennovations made to the pressbox and the locker rooms, plus installation of artificial turf.. Look for some digging to begin next January

 

It is definately an exciting time to be an Oak Ridge Wildcat.

From a Dobyns Bennett perspective, I wanna congratulate you guys on bringing Coach Gaddis back. I miss playing you guys. You guys are a class program...

Ha. Well, with the exception of Lane bolting out on UT he is pretty much correct in a smaller sense.

My son gave me the lowdown on the event to welcome Coach Gaddis. Very exciting and the present players are more than stoked. Coach Gaddis took a lot of time to talk to the Jefferson and Robertsville players. He had a private meeting with Tee Higgens and Chase K. to talk about the future. As much as I like Coach Blade, he never had the time to talk to his future studs.There is no doubt in my mind that Coach Gaddis will turn the program around.
