the outlook is very serious now ..... please stop and pray even if you don't know Coach Mac... here is the article from the tennessean......

Lipscomb Academy football coach Glenn McCadams has returned to the hospital following recent surgery and is in “serious condition,†according to longtime friend and fellow faculty member Mark Pugh.

“He was hospitalized a couple of weeks ago and underwent successful surgery,†Pugh said Wednesday, referring to a procedure on March 7 to remove a series of tumors. “He went home and things had been looking pretty positive, but they made a turn for the worse.

“He returned to the hospital early Tuesday morning.â€

Pugh was unsure whether McCadams’ condition is related to his previous surgery. He declined to disclose where McCadams is hospitalized, out of respect for the family’s privacy.

McCadams has stage 4 mantle cell lymphoma.

McCadams, 66, has coached at Lipscomb for the past 31 years, leading the program to state championships in 1994, 2002 and 2007 and runner-up finishes in 1998, 2003, 2005 and 2006. Over his 37-year head coaching career, he has won 315 games, making him one of the state’s winningest active coaches.

Prayers for Coach Mc's family from moore county and lynchburg. I learned many lessons from him in defeat. He was classy and was an exceptional example for everyone around. His teams were always prepared and always played with determination. It will be a hole not easily filled by the Lipscomb family

Coach Mac, may you rest in peace. Thanks for all you have done for the young men in your programs. I have, and always will give thanks for getting to know and respect you. You have touched many lives, and I for one know that respect. Our thoughts and prayers from the football staff and team at Hickman County High School to all of yours and the Lipscomb family.
