McEwenAlumni
Couldn't help but notice Lake County has beaten Humnoldt once this year and played with them 3 other times, what should we watch today during Championship?
wardawg2038
McEwenallumni, in the game they key will be for LC to keep Devon Jones out of foul trouble. Humboldt provides alot of mismatches with their length for the falcons. Need Devon on the glass helping board to have a shot. Also must play good defense and limit Turner(#10) open shot opportunities. Finally which has been the case all year for LC they must get some points from supporting cast Flowers, Taylor, Kimble or Johnson to take a little of the load off Jones and Coleman. LC won at Tiptonville in the regular season by playing good defense and frustrating Bradford in the 4th and overtime. Humboldt won the next 3 by dominating the boards getting out to big leads that LC could not overcome. Can't wait to see this finals match-up between District 14-A rivals. frankieD12
Frankie let me explain hot team to you since you do not seem to understand it. The Falcons have won elimination games at Greenfield, at McKenzie, and in Humboldt vs UC. Then on the road in Memphis vs. MAHS!! The Falcons have won both games in the boro, in OT by 1 or 21 doesn't matter they won to get here. In 3 Years Coach B and LC are 6-1 in Murfreesboro so I would call that hot. They have improved tremendously from early in the year so it is what it is. Humboldt has great talent and are very good but maybe little ole LC can find a way to pull the upset. I do not need to be lectured on my opinion of what I think a "hot" team is. I will give credit where credit is due, and yes LC does deserve it for those wins. Everyone has their own opinion for what they think a "hot" team is. I take into consideration the scores and W/L's...not just the W/L's @Tiger...I am a proud Humboldt alum, and nowhere close to being a Golden Tornado Edited March 16, 2013 by frankieD12
Baller100
I'm sorry but this is looking to be one of the sloppiest state championship games I've ever watched! All they do is run down and shoot they dont run plays half way or let there offense go through progressions! Yea there good but it's really pitiful the talent they have and how there coaches let them play. I guess that's west tn basketball but its not basketball it's back yard ball. Richland high school really matched up well with either team and showed that yesterday. So to all those people that were so called Richland fans saying how bad lake county or humbolt would beat them I guess u don't know basketball or u are scared of that crap west tn calls basketball! Good luck lc and humbolt
terop
This Bradford dude for Humboldt can really play??
GCPioneer
You could make a valid argument that Bradford might be the best or second best player in Single A. Fountain is good but Bradford isn't far behind. I like the way he plays...

GCPioneer
Humboldt needs to work some offense and get a good shot. They're throwing up too many forced shots.

Good luck lc and humbolt Call it what you like...how can you put this style of basketball down if you can't beat it? What I find to be very funny is the fact that neither of these teams finished the regular season in the top two in their own district...and the rest of the state couldn't eliminate either one.The old adage is..."don't knock it if you can't beat it". GCPioneer
Congrats to Humboldt and also to Coach Boykins... It's been a long time coming for Humboldt as well as Boykins. He's had some great teams come through there and he finally pulled through. Congrats and enjoy!
