Clarkrange will be loaded. The guard from Sone Memorial can shoot the three and handle the ball. The 2 freshmen from York look really good; esp. Meadows. She will be a force inside. They will have size, quickness, and will be 10 deep. Look out! I watched them practice. 38-0. NUMBER 9

Yes very interesting you got to see them practice. JC is going for #9 also, having won 7 of the 8 since 2000.

When exactly did you witness this greatness? My guess is you"re just blowing smoke about watching them. CR will be a very good team and the matchups this year with Jackson County will be worth the price of admission! I see them splitting the regular season and then Jackson County winning in the district and region and state championship games. You have the NUMBER 9 correct but it will be JACKSON COUNTY getting NUMBER 9 NOT Clarkrange.

I hear that this is the last year for York Inst...so is there any chance Clarkrange and York might combine to form one school after this year? Anyone know?? If that happens, the school would be AA.

The way I understand it, At some point York Institute will no longer be a State supported school.

The onus will be on the people of Fentress Co. to fund that school. How they do that is up to them. Watch the news media for more info.

Isn't open gym  going on right now, and yes it will be an exciting season...  just wish it was here already..

I guess with all the new "additions" ( i won't say recruits because that would just be bad taste on my part ) moving in, there is probably standing room only for "open gym" up there in Clarkrange these days.... :popcorneater:

Recruits is a nasty word huh... since J.C. will always welcome new "additions" ? :popcorneater:

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!

      I would not put too much stock into the UH over Eagleville. From what I understand they were pretty banged up in that tourney. Catcher was out, they were throwing pretty deep in their bullpen and a few key players were beat up in their infield. Sounds like they are pretty healthy heading into the district tournament. Look at their schedule, they played some really good teams.
