You're incorrect. When the last head count was made to classify the schools GP should have been put in 3A in football and 2A in all the other sports. The Ronnie rule is the only reason they are in 1A.

• 5A - Schools with an enrollment of 1,348 and above
• 4A - Schools with an enrollment of 961 to 1,347

• 1A - Schools with an enrollment of 361 and under

So really they could play 1A ball but choose to move up to 2A.

Sorry the 335 was before 1.8. With 1.8, 603 which puts them in 2A football.

GP people on CoachT have admitted for years that they have recruited and still do. How about that baseball team? You going to tell me all those kids are from Madison year in and year out? Revcoach's numbers are right except it's three class regular season and six class playoff in football, not five. They would easily be Class AA and the 3A playoffs in football if not for the "no more than one playoff class jump" policy put into place. As far as not wanting to travel, Goodpasture could be in Division II and playing FRA, BGA and the like around Nashville. Same for CPA and the rest.

GP wanted to move down and used Uncle Ronnies loop hole for the next 4 years to win state championships. They should be 3A in the playoffs in football and 2A in everything else! So don't get back on here until you have your facts straight. Rev Coach same goes for you!
