Can little 3A Polk compete with big 6A Walker Valley?

 

Polk is 4-0 against WV since the series began. Average score is 39-14. WV seems to be trending in the right direction, but were they exposed against Bradley?

 

Thoughts from the gurus? This may be a slow thread, since WV doesnt seem to have a coacht presence.

unless polk finds the fire they had the first game of the year wv wins this one . the last two games have been ugly. I watch them build a lead against mc and then they just played lazy. that game should not have been close but it was and wv is better than mc. wv by 14

This could be a interesting game.

 

WV can beat Polk. But can they contain Miller?

 

Polk will be tested by a good all around team. Can they avoid getting in a track meet?

 

WV played excellent ball against EH, but then Bradley (picked 2nd or 4th in the preseason polls) absolutly beat them in ways EH didn't. Bradley took the 1st half off against Polk, and almost came back to win.

 

Such an interesting match up.

Fatigue could play a factor here, WV makes it interesting late, Polk wins by 13.

Someone told me that Miller may be held out of this game. Anyone in Polk know if that is true?

 

Obviously it's a totally different game without him pounding the rock.

This is an intriguing match-up, because

Bradley beat WV pretty soundly, &

WV beat East Ridge pretty soundly &

East Ridge beat Polk &

Polk beat Bradley.

Kind of a weird circle of events...

I guess that is why they play the games...

If Miller is good to go,Polk by 7.If Miller for some reason does not them WV by 14.He makes a huge difference!

With or without Miller, if Polk plays the way they have the last two games...Walker Valley will roll to an easy victory. It is not all Miller, he had nearly 200 yards against East Ridge and we lost, 94 against Central and we won (the score is all we beat them in). It will take alot more heart and effort this week to come out with the W. My pick.. Walker Valley 33 Polk 20..unless ....

Although Polk is a smaller school than WV, this would be a huge win for the mustangs
