Saturday doesn't work. Girls are getting manicures and pedicures and such. Plus, Coach Jim was busy looking mowing the grass.

Please forward this link to your coach....Apparently he doesn't know the TSSAA calendar for when district games are usually played...Hopefully next year....

Man that would be a bummer to be a Sr and not get to at least make an effort at post season. Hope you guys can make it next year.

They didn't want to play a district tournament game?  Isn't this what you play for during the   regular season?  Maybe they should play in a rec league or eliminate the program.  Coach and AD should be ashamed.  Guess they are proud of their regular season record!  I just don't get it.

I wouldn't be too hard on the girls.  Some schools struggle just to field a team, and they know they can't compete with the powerhouse schools.  I don't believe there are many "rec leagues" at the high school level.  Most of these girls couldn't make a select team and would have to travel a long way just to find one.

 

Many are playing just for the fun of it, like intramurals.  Given the choice of getting waxed in the first round or spending a week in Destin, I think I know what most teenage girls would choose.

Or you could come support the Lady Irish in the 4AA Regional Volleyball tournament tonight at Signal.  They play Livingston Academy at 6pm in a semi-final match.

Guess it really does depend on who SC faces in the district play-offs before the coach and parents decide as to take their Fall Break Team Building Trip.
