How has MP held up this year against a good rushing team? If WC can run the ball effectively and pressure the QB on defense we should be alright! "GO CATS"

I like WC in this matchup, MTP has struggled with their passing game and WC has been really good against the run. WC backs just keep pounding the ball until they find where the holes are. I can't wait!

If WC contains the edge they will win. If MTP can get good seal blocks on corners then WC don't have speed to match. I like WC to win but MTP is dangerous with a lot of athletes

I feel the same way. I know I keep sayin this, but I seen MtP hang around with Spring Hill with all the mistakes and it makes me nervous. I mean let's be real...this is WC's last test and we could very easily finish 7-3. WC's offense is really clicking right now...good run game and with a good QB that can hurt you. I'm very impressed with P. Rice this year. It's hard to believe a Freshman has an arm like that....

Y'all have a talented team, but they make to many mistakes. I'm just basing that off of, what you've said and what I've seen. I watched y'all play spring hill and IMO....it would have been different, if not for the turnovers. I think y'all are better than your record shows. I'll say the same for WC. We should not have lost to C'wood, but we deserved it for the way we played. I'm just glad they turned it around after that game. Go Cats!

Agreed.

mTp cannot make any mistakes in this one to have a chance to win... No turnovers, fumbles or picks.

mTp will have to limit the penalties. No holds negating 1st downs or TD's. No personal fouls, false starts, nor delay of games pushing them backwards on offense.... Wayne Co. defense will be hard enough to drive on, they Sure don't need any help from Tiger penalties. These will surely make the Tigers turn the ball over on downs/punts.... CANNOT DO THIS.... Got to score each possession you possibly can because Wayne Co. can and more than likely will.

mTp defense is good, but not good enough to keep Wayne Co. off the board nor limited on the board... mTp has to score.

If mTp can come to play and bring what they brought to Collinwood in the 2nd qtr. there (32 points in 1 qtr), then this will be a heck of a game with the Tigers having a big chance at winning. Gonna be a lot harder to bring that against WC's defense though.... So Tigers have to really bring it this game.

mTp will be the most diverse team WC has faced all year. A lot of different looks and players that run that offense. WC will definitely be guessing at who will be getting called on to make the big plays.

Speed can be the game decider in this one if WC's defense can't contain it AND mTp doesn't shoot themselves in the foot again.

mTp's problems definitely makes them the Under Dogs in this matchup.

Get it together Tigers and you've got all the chance in the world to Win... Mess ups happen? It's gonna be a long ride of disappointment home.

Prove me right Tigers and make no mistakes! Bring Home a W!

GO TIGERS!

I think that big qtr MTP had against Cwood come from multiple interceptions which WC don't throw many. WC will run and run until the opponents defense starts loading the box to stop it then Rice will burn you through the air. WC offense has got to be very hard to read when your on defense. Just a couple (2) ints. that weren't pick 6's. mTp had to drive it to the endzone 4 times and convert all four 2 pointers.

Here is the highlites of the 2nd qtr at Collinwood....

"Then came the second period dominance by head coach Jason Hoath’s Tigers.

Defensive end Brenton Shepherd returned an interception 20 yards to the Collinwood 37. Rodney Harvell’s 16-yard run followed a pass interference penalty on the Trojans.

The first of five quick Tiger touchdowns came on a 10-yard run by Walter Crawford, who primarily plays quarterback but was in a running back spot for this play as Smth was the quarterback. Harvell ran the extra point.

Mt. Pleasant needed just four plays to strike again, this time on a 48-yard Smith to Malugin pass. Harvell again ran the conversion for a 16-3 lead.

With 3;38 remaining in the half, Harvell scored on a 5-yard run. A 59-yard punt return by Smith to the Trojans’ 21 set-up the TD. Brady Gill ran the extra points.

An interception by Smith gave the Tigers possession late in the half at their own 22. Crawford connected with Harvell for 22 yards, Smith for 22 yards and Harvell cut back against the grain to run for 34 yards on the final play of the quarter for the TD. Gill ran the conversion for a 32-3 lead."

    • When she starts farting around with the football team the powers in Maryville will run her out of town on a rail and everyone connected with letting her in the door. You saw what happened when Alcoa's radio announcer thought he was coming to Maryville, the people rose up and stopped it.
    • 20 but had 5-6 not dressed every game. It went down towards the end due to injuries and obviously only 15 got to dress for the state tournament. Then, they only lost 2 from this year and gain 8 from the middle school for next year
    • As somebody mentioned before, this is going to result in a massive lawsuit, can you imagine professional "educators" actually having the conversation about getting "the bad kids" out of the high school?  And the head coach asking directly to change grades, gets turned down, comes back again and gets it approved?  This is unbelievable.  In addition to the lawsuit, the state Department of Education is going to come down extremely hard on this.  WYSH is on the war path.  There could be dozens more lose their jobs by the time this is over.  And yeah the real shame is the kids being affected that literally had nothing to do with this and actually worked hard to earn their grades.
    • I've heard Powell from someone who talked to him. I saw the kid two days ago and I should of pulled over and talked with him and wished him well where ever he goes. It will be a ale of a loss for us because I don't believe we have anyone in the stable good as him from what I seen in the spring.
    • I would have to think that the firing of the 2 teachers is just the beginning of future moves.  If not, it is woefully short.  If the AC school board thinks that the damage is just limited to Clinton, they are sadly mistaken.  Any outsider would view the whole school system as suspect, and rightly so.
