As far as the other teams go,

LA over Smith- no answer for Sells now, and I think LA has the personnel to contain Hackett.

Cannon over Macon-Apparently MC isn't where they need to be yet. And I've seen Cannon. They're very good.

Central over York-this one could be a blowout.

Defence will be the determining factor in games in the district this season.

Third post in the topic stated DC would "easily" finish top three in any other district.

I said it and I still do; I was referring to THIS year's team. There are exceptions of course. Most AAA districts, obviously, and perhaps 13-AA. Otherwise we always compete with just about any team we play that isn't a state power.

Isn't Sequatchie picked at the top of 7-AA with Bledsoe? We lost by three, ISO that's pretty much par for the course right now. And one common opponent with Bledsoe, Whitwell, we also beat by 30.

I haven't ONCE defended the easy schedule we get at the beginning of every year. If it really matters the coach actually wasn't very happy with me at all last year when I criticized the weak schedule after our loss to siegel.

To reiterate, yes, I said it. Everyone says DC is an '"average" team. Okay, I get that. They could compete in the "average" Tennessee district. 8-AA is a different beast, and anyone who says otherwise is kidding themselves.

Can we please get back on the subject of tomorrow nights OTHER matchups? You got your win, Indian, Fredericks is a beast and more than just a post player. Runs the floor well and has a beautiful shot. Good luck the rest of the season.

La by 6      Post play will make a big difference especially the way the game has been being officiated.

Cannon by 15 + to much experience but will be a good match up next time around.

Upperman by 15 + I want to see if Dekalb can play with quality opponents.

Central by 15 + could get lots worse with a very young york bunch.

Cant wait till 6:00 tonight. If anyone can , please keep us posted. Good luck to all teams !!!

    • Sorry Barn. I wasn’t specific enough. It seems I’m always protecting the principal at 825. My interactions with her have been extremely positive, but very limited. With all the other stories being told, I’m confident there are other sides I am not aware of. Regardless, there are lots of decent people earning good checks up there. Maybe too good, which explains why no one is willing to speak up. My beef is with the poor communication among the athletic programs and with the administration. Seven years ago the poor communication led to my son missing graduation due to a sporting event that was planned months before. I chalked it up to the system being totally shocked that the baseball team made it out of their district, and our then AD was a football coach. Maybe they were surprised and did not plan appropriately. That was more palatable than they just didn’t give a crap. Déjà vu, seven years later, same thing. Different administration, but same result.  Maybe in seven more years, it will actually be “about the kids”. They should do better.
    • That's a fair line. But if it's not over, that's a big problem.
    • RR, you think that changes this year, or at least improves? I know they had a couple of talented young receivers last year that made some plays later in the year. Defensive back was a struggle against any team that was above average at throwing the ball.
    • You would think they got a bunch of interest
    • You would think with football just three months away more would be talking. There's only so much a person can say about someone allowing the field to get painted without asking their boss who would have said ((((((((  ALE NO ))))))))) or all the other BULLS#!T they've done as they lead Maryville High into the new age of WOKE in a conversative town. I'm ready for some football news without hearing something coming out of 825 that Power Munger has done to cap off the week.
