Nashville Christian @ Clarksville Academy (who will win and why)

My prediction: NCS 35 CA 7

Why: This NCS team has been taking this season one game at a time and focusing only on the next opponent, big or small. CA is the next game and the Eagles will take care of business. The offense is the most balanced they have had in several years. The line on both sides of the ball held their own against East Nashville and many times dominated them. I think they will do well against CA. It's just a prediction but that's the way I see it.

I always look forward to the trip to Clarksville. Good memories from my years at APSU quite a while back. Hopefully we can get into town early enough to run by Johnny's Big Burger for a burger and finish it off with a honey bun and ice cream! Yum!!

I agree...NCS has a good team and will prolly roll on past CA this week. Good Luck to both.

I completely understand that scoreboard watching is not a good barometer for comparing two teams (injuries, etc. make this a tough comparison), but.....

Two common opponents (both 2A schools) should help a little in seeing how this one might turn out.

Harpeth 19, CA 0

Harpeth 24, NCS 55

Cheatham County 16, CA 17 (OT)

Cheatham County 0, NCS 31

We put up 55 points on Harpeth, CA was shut out.

We put up 31 points on CCC, CA only scored 10 in regulation.

The thread was getting boring, so thought I would put something out there to get some CA folks involved

Also, NCS could have hung 80 on Harpeth and 60 on Cheatham County. Coach put it in 2nd gear early on. Unlike our brothers down in the Pitts of the South Berg, we don't run up the score (76-0 a few weeks ago against 0-9 team). Spare me "the little Johnny" excuses/stories please Pitt fans.  :popcorneater:

notsosmART must be in love with our Pirates. Every reference he makes has something to do with our team. Truth be known HE IS SCARED!!!

Sounds like they are jealous of not being capable of scoring 76 points with starters pulled in the 2nd quarter. And along with one eyed willy are y'all wanting to play sp this year? Lmbo newbies

He's just looking for bullentine board material. The little man is trying to wish his way into cookeville. notsosmART needs to go pound on another rock cause we aint biting. No matter how much jiberish he post about SP -I would like to see (and I predict they will) UC  smash these guys come playoff time!

Hey now.  Please don't hate our team and certainly not our boys because of an anonymous poster of these boards.

And somehow (I'm sure it was Art) we are off-topic on this thread.  Where are the Clarksville Academy folks?

    • And can you tell me who those two quarterbacks were, and every kid that was put into college from Bearden is a Bearden kid? It’s kind of why they graduated from Bearden.   and I would definitely not consider ETSU “waste”…
    • Most of this is complete gibberish. But the one part I could decipher is putting kids in college. This coaching staff hasn’t put a single Bearden kid in college. They completed wasted one of the best WRs in East TN and have ruined two talented QBs. All because they’re in over their heads.
    • Well, I’d hope the new coaching staff thinks they are all that because they can always walk around the school, anytime they want, thinking that, especially for what they’ve done for the student athletes and the players, putting more kids in college in his first season than the old coaching staff did in numerous years combined, but we will just sweep over that because I know you don’t like facts. But trust me, nobody wanted Mr. Big britches, made the star player switch to quarterback, which is ultimately the reason he ended up transferring to play the position. He loved, but unfortunately, had to be at another school because Mr. Big Britches doesn’t like when a teenager knows more than him, but can’t expect much coming from a guy who used all class throwing pencils up into the ceiling and making fun of football kids who were failing class right to their face, and in front of numerous students, even projecting on the board most of the time.
    • After that first paragraph, I can see why you’re a TA and not a teacher. Have you made the move from South Knoxville to Bearden yet?    Maybe he left because he is an actual teacher and coach, and didn’t want to be associated with a group of foul mouthed middle school coaches who like to pretend they’re big time.
    • Yeah and the coach is gone. Whole bizarre situation here. We played them a couple of times at MTSU last few years. She was a player for sure.
