We play away games just like everyone else. Sometimes there are calls for you and sometimes there are calls against you. It's part of the game. Refs are human and do make mistakes, but I didn't see too many in the game last week. Time to let it go.

I say we institute instant replay in the tssaa. Lol. Good luck to NCS. Sounds like you guys are the real deal.

We do not need instant replay. However I do feel that there should be a system in place for making sure that referees show integrity and an unbiased call of a game. I know referees are going to make mistakes. It is human error. However if officials make a certain number of calls that directly impact the games outcome, and if those calls are questionable at best and completely wrong at the worst, then I feel those officials should have to pay a fine or something. Officials should also have to watch a replay of the calls that were made so that they can reflect on their performance and learn from the mistakes made. That's part of any job.

Where are the CA folks?  Don't tell me this week's game plan is so secretive that you had to swear to the coaches you wouldn't get on here .  I'm beginning to wonder if you'll have any fans at the game.

On Friday night you will see we have lots of fans. Maybe they just don't post on forums, not real sure. We will pack our place. There will be plenty of tailgating going on also.. We finished up painting the field last night. We only have a few touch-ups left. The field is sort of a brown and green camaflague design.101st airborne style. It looks great. No real secrets. Everyone already knows we are down to 24 or 25 players cause of injury. I am very proud of our team for being 6-3 with all the injuries we have had. From the beginning of the year we have lost our whole defensive and offensive backfields. Since game 4 we have had to replace or move all most all them. My own son has been out for 5 weeks because of injury. We are playing a lot whole lot of freshmen and sophomores. We will be better for it down the road. Don't know if any will be back for Friday or the playoffs. We will give you our best show with what we have. No excuses. I know NCS will bring it but a 28 point win prediction is hard to see happen. No secrets we will run a fast pace no huddle offense. We will run the same defense you seen for three years. We will try to get you with speed, quickness and by being in shape. No team will ever out hustle us or out effort us. No we don't have 4-6 division 1 prospects, probably none. You will know that you played a football game. Also never count us out.

Not a lot of "real football" talk on here anyway. Mostly someone making smart remarks, cutting others down, and other bashing. Everyone says we will kill the other team but very seldom say why.

It's clear that Clarksville Academy fans would rather have a root canal than play NCS. Those home bleachers at Keeton Field North (formerly Simpson Field) are pretty comfortable and are going to be rather empty so NCS fans should feel free to sit on either side. It's nice to have a practical home field advantage 60 miles away. :roflol:

Also, NCS could have hung 80 on Harpeth and 60 on Cheatham County. Coach put it in 2nd gear early on. Unlike our brothers down in the Pitts of the South Berg, we don't run up the score (76-0 a few weeks ago against 0-9 team). Spare me "the little Johnny" excuses/stories please Pitt fans. :popcorneater:

You have issues. Learn how to spell correctly.

You're right about the "real football" talk.  Sorry about that.  Like I said in an earlier post, I know we will see some speed (and shiftiness) from Conn and Rugen.  I should get some time tonight or tomorrow to watch some film.  I wouldn't be surprised to see a lot of points put on the board by both teams.  However, our D has been very stingy (outside the East Nashville game) and there probably isn't a 1A team in the state that could shut that offense down.  I am impressed with your record with all the injuries you've had.  We've only played a few games where I knew going in we were going to see a lopsided victory.  I'm not expecting one this week either because of your ability to put up points.  But if our D can avoid giving up big plays, it will be a lopsided victory.  If you remember our offense from last year, you can add about 4-6 extra weapons to it this year.  Our options are kind of mind-boggling for a 1A offense.  Last week, we put the entire game in our QB's hands (you can understand why since he's a senior and we were playing a 3A team) and he performed awesome.  But that was the only time this year we've done that.  We have 11 guys that have scored TDs and none of them are freshmen that scored with one minute left in a game.  Each one of those 11 are regularly involved in the offense.  I know you guys have a good kicker (coach's son I believe) but ours is one of the best in the South.  He's money from inside 45 and has hit from 58 in practice.

Can't wait to see the field - that sounds awesome.  How long did it take you guys to do that?

We usually have 6-9 people that work about 4-6 hours for two nights. We have invested in a 3 paint machines. We also use a lot of stencils. If the old paint is still visible it does not take as long. The players and coaches like it. We've had a lot of complements the last few years about our field.

As far as the "art" poster. I think it's best to just ignore him. I figure he just a kid trying to be a bully. He gets pleasure of people's responses. Wouldn't dare say those things to someone's far.

I agree it should be an exciting game. If somehow we pull of the upset. There will be a lot of folks eating "crow" for thanksgiving. I just hope we put up a good performance and get out without more injuries. Keep it close and have a shot to win in the 4th quarter. If all holds as the talking heads say. We will be head to Jo byrns next week for round 1. We'd sure like to trade places with you. Although I do not like the bye week but it would help us get some more healing. If we can get a few players back we are a much better and more experienced team.

I don't think I like the bye week either.  The way we are playing, you hate to lose momentum by sitting for a week.  But I guess it gives us a chance to get a little healthier.  And if you guys end up meeting JB, we'll be able to come watch.  We've avoided the injury bug except for one boy we lost awhile back to a shoulder injury and he won't be back as he's trying to get healthy for BB season.

I'll definitely get some pictures of the field to send to some folks.

    • Oh yeah, I’m sure you are different people just always on the same thread for some reason, always agreeing with each other, perhaps just a bunch of dorks who would like to ###### and moan about high school football coaches do a lot of other students, so you make a football team and get a yell at them. When they do something wrong, but I’m sure you don’t like that, do you?   and I’m sure I’m aware of where you get information. A teacher who was on the coaching staff but was fired after the new coaching and staff came in and realized he actually had to start taking his assistant job a little bit more seriously than just wanting to make a little extra cash on the side, hardly even showing up to most practices, should’ve left with his buddy to go to Farragut. I’m sure he could get him a defensive coaching job, but I doubt he will be there in three years. Looking at the way Farragut is currently going.
    • It may be hard to believe but there’s more people than me that think you guys are a bunch of losers.    I’m sure the coaching staff, yourself included, cursed at a bunch of high school students. Nobody could name more than 3 coaches on staff due to the constant turnover.
    • That's complete BS.  Nobody at ACHS has access to CHS student records unless a transfer is made from CHS to ACHS.
    • Trez's last scandal has died down, so I guess this is there opportunity to be the best 4A team playing in 2A a la Sissy MTN.  At least they won't be in a Z-district with 1a teams in the regular season.
    • Facts...until someone takes down the Rebels they should be the favorite. Got loads of young guys salivating at the opportunity to prove themselves and get a 3peat! Blazer how is Region 1 looking this year?
