Did Zellers at Lenoir City resign?

When we went down to L.C. to play a couple of weeks ago the crowd was so small on the home side you could of counted everyone in the stands looking over from the Maryville side. You would think when you saw that something is going on. Just my observation considering the Maryville side was packed like a sardine can. I hate going to an away game an hour early because they can't accommodate the visiting crowd. The TSSAA should pick the playoff game home site on who can and can't seat all the spectators and maybe some of these cheapskate schools would bring in some more seats.

He did do a great job at LC.  Any talk of a perceived talent drop being the reason is totally untrue.  Mike is a good man who  tells the truth.  He told the team in the locker room why he was leaving.  Talent has nothing to do with it.  He lost 9 Offensive starters from a 9-3 team in 2012, and didn't leave then.  There is no conspiracy here either.  It had nothing to do with the outcome of the  season.  What he told the writers and what he told the team and coaches is exactly the truth.

    • You wanna talk about zoned for Bearden.  Lol.  I don't think so.  But my point was who can blame a kid for not wanting to be in a private school.  Nobody is zoned for a private school, it's a free country right?
    • Great win for the Pirates. State Tourney bound !
    • You're talking about the running back, right? I don’t believe he was zoned for west, but there were numerous players that came from TKA a few years ago and still are. I’m sure some are, but the majority aren’t.
    • Gratitude abounds for Blake Satterfield, whose five-year tenure as the head coach and exemplary ambassador for Trousdale County and its educational system has left an indelible mark. His strategic leadership during playoff seasons was nothing short of remarkable. Anticipating that his future endeavors will be equally impressive.  Perhaps the board members will refrain from undermining the incoming coach as they did in Blake's case.
    • Yeah that's true, I was talking more about football.  If you go to a TKA game, there's nobody there.  The only people there are the parents of cheer and parents of players.    The kid that left and came to West was zoned for West and decided to quit private and go public school.  He won two state championships at West, so hard to blame him there.
