My dad just called me from Michie. He said he went outside and heard an extremely loud roar. He said all of the citizens of Michie were really in disarray and scared to death. He said it sounded like a loud train! I told him not to worry and to calm the Michie folks down. I told him it was the ROAR OF THE MIGHTY LIONS A COMING and they weren't interested in anything but REDBIRDS!! Music boys......."Cardinals get ready the Lions are coming, don't need no directions cause we already been there, we are commmmmming back for annnother feast so get ready to crumble and take your bow!!! See y'all in 4 hours. Will be at SawMeal early!!

Ok, you Adamsville parents of players have got more experience than me on this one. I was never this nervous as a player especially when the mighty Bobcats came rolling into Adamsville! I guess it's part of being a parent. Prayers going out to all parents on both sides as we all want our boys to play well but more importantly stay injury free. Memories are being made for both sides! These boys will always be close as a result of this experience.

      RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.

      I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
