You can perhaps get to him but you cannot bring him down as easily as it seems. He keeps plays alive and his receivers are athletic and make plays in traffic. One time last night he extended a play and threw the ball 50+ yards from one hash to the opposite hash. What do you tell your DBs in that situation? He looks like Manziel back there running around making plays.

Already faced that once this season at Camden...Zimmerman is a  right handed Steve Young.. our DBs learned that lesson after one 50 yard td after what seemed to be 4 sacks and him  spinning and turning  backwards forever ...pretty sure the play just ended this morning

Too funny. The game was like watching paint dry last night with him on the sidelines.

I'll give Waverly their props. They have done well and handled Creek Wood handily. Not sure if they can hang their hat on that though. Right now, I have them personally ranked as top 3 in the district this year. Congrats to them on a monumental turnaround from last season.

We have not been battle tested yet IMO. The offense is a quick strike juggernaut. The defense is getting more formidable each week. I like the fight in our district this year from top to bottom. Season is still young and lots of games left to be played. We may not be Top 3 yet but we have come a long way from last year and not looking back.

I think Waverly wins this week against MC. Could be a good game but you never know. Waverlys first real test I believe will come in two weeks, on the 10, at Lewis Co. Tough team and tougher at home. Camden has a open that date and God willing I plan to make the trip to watch this game. That is the game that will determine wherther or not Waverly is in the top 3. I pray for all the teams playing this week safe travel and a safe injury free game. Good luck to all.

    • If y’all lose to Farragut something awful has happened.
    • Get him to Bearden ASAP! Or anywhere, Karns hs is in rough shape, probably not getting out of it anytime soon.
    • I'm not a Powell grad.  I am a Bearden grad.   My son and daughter are Powell grads.   I did radio play by play for Powell, my last year was 2013. I also did radio play by play for South Doyle, and my last gig was at Maryville before I retired.   My oldest grandson plays in the Karns Middle program, so I see more Karns games than I do Powell these days.  I've been to 3 Powell games since 2013.   I don't have any ties to Powell, haven't since 2013.   No "y'all" there.    And the kid you are talking about does have a very good arm, but he's not the QB that Deuce Rogers is.  Rogers is a legit dual threat guy.  The younger kid now at Clinton, or about to be at Clinton, isn't the dual threat that Rogers is.
    • No sir. I watched it specifically and it was very dirty. He cleated the boy on purpose. Apparently, it’s an issue in football as well from what several schools have said. That said, looking forward to a good game 3. ER hit it well in game 2.
    • He is the transfer. 5star spoke on him in their new qb1 series. Didn’t list em as a transfer but I knew the name
