Coach Gary Rankin, Alcoa, named his first son after Coach Tucker - John Tucker Rankin - now playing at TTU. Shows the respect coaches had for Coach Tucker. Maybe the best thing that is said about a person is how they touched lives positively. Usually the person doesn't even realize. cofo Posted February 20, 2014 Report Share Posted February 20, 2014 I went to Coach Tucker's funeral today....was supposed to last one hour and it lasted two....a lot of tears and laughter....needless to say the Church was packed...a lot of former coaching opponents of coach T were there to show their respects....former Huntingdon coach Mike Mansfield...former Jackson South Side coach Jerry Hayes just to mention a couple...it was a touching tribute to a great man...
