BCsportsfan
You can say that again, UCMan..and don't get me started on G'pasture..Rams lost a semifinal to them the year after they were put in 2A(came from private) in 1999. They platooned players in and we lost by 3pts. They never should have been allowed to compete with the public schools! Why?

It had Fairview, Giles County, Marshall County, Page, Upperman, DeKalb County, & Cannon County in the same 3a district. My next question is, Is this for real or proposed?? If so, that's some pretty hard core travel.

Jumped from 2a-5a one season later. Then got busted for having out of zoned kids. Glad they were busted for cheating, but that doesn't help TC who deserved the 2a title that year. NotNoahHouck
I'm guessing no of the lists are official sense there are so many non correlating lists. I've seen one with us (South Gibson) in 3A Region 6 with Covington, Westview, Crockett Co., and Liberty Tech. There was another one posted earlier with us in 3A Region 7 accompanied by: Covington, Westview, Crockett County, Chester County
gcapride
Happy to hear about the change and returning to format used 4 years ago..we will finally have a chance to host a playoff game(after not hosting when either winning or being the runner-up in our District). Won't be penalized for playing "up" either!! Not really on the classification thing, but I wanted to give Tyner a ton of credit from our scrimmage last Friday. Those kids were the most well behaved group we've played in a long time. Very respectful and very tough. The Coach's were equally impressive. Best of luck to the RAMS this year. You guys have a fan in this GCA guy.

Good Luck to Grace Christian as well this season!
MountainTroll
another good example is Signal when they were 2a thumping schools, Beat Trousdale by 2 in semi's and went on the championship game to slaughter someone. Sorry, but I have to correct your history lesson. The year we beat Trousdale was the second year the school was open and the first year that we had full 9-12 classes. (The first year we didn't have a senior class.) Because of that, we initially had an enrollment that placed us in 2a. When we beat Trousdale and won the 2a championship, our enrollment was up to 3a size, but not a 20% increase, so we weren't reclassified mid-cycle. We had a lot of good players and a big enough squad that we were able to platoon, and I agree that Trousdale got a raw deal that year, but nothing we could do about it. We are still a 3a sized school, not much bigger than Upperman, but we chose to play up to 4a at the next reclassification. Not a 2a to 5a jump. As for the "cheating", we had one transfer from Georgia. He moved from Georgia to Tennessee and was approved for enrollment at Signal by the Hamilton County Department of Education. His new residence was not in Signal's zone, so he was ruled ineligible by the T$$AA. At the time, we were getting about 150 kids from the Howard school zone, because of the "No Child Left Behind" federal mandates, and we thought everything was okay with his transfer. As it turns out, his new residence wasn't in the Howard school zone either. Honest mistake or intentional cheating? I honestly don't know. Good luck to the Bees this year. It looks like we will both be in 3A under the new classification, unless we choose to play up to 4A. It was obviously a game you could see the teams should not have been in the same classification. As far as UHS, I live in Overton Co and followed them the closest because they were the top team in 8aa.

A little clarification... Signal went from 2A to 3A but chose to play up in 4A since we wuz scared to play Alcoa .
