AA,

I think Alcoa is a good match up with Carter. If the Tornadoes can dictate the pace of play and not turn the ball over, there could be a shocker in 3AA.

That's a BIG "if" Pete. Many teams have tried to dictate the pace against Carter but it rarely works. Turnovers have plagued Alcoa all season, too. Regardless of the outcome, it'll be fun to watch.

The injury bug hits Catholic in the offense season. All district PG Luke Smith broke his foot playing in the Knox Vegas Heat over the weekend.  Their team has players from Catholic (Luke Smith, Tony Scott, Davari Reeder, Chase Kuerschen, and Dawson Anderson) CAK (Hunter Reynolds, Bill Bower, and Cole Smith), Fulton (Donavan Filer and Markese Sheely) and Maryville (Nick Quigg).  They are coached by a former Catholic player (Geraud Hall) and a former Fulton player (Mike Dobson). Rival players from the same region and district making each other better.

Luke is great hate that for him! With as hard as he plays and his size hopefully it's just bad luck and not something that will last the rest of his HS career.

He will be out 4-6 weeks.  I agree with Irishbball, he needs to add about 5 pounds muscle to his body. He attacks the basket so hard and teams make him pay for it with physical contact.

Been telling him that for 2 years. Maybe this would be a great time to get in the weight room while he's out. He does take a huge beating and the added size and strength would really help. Either that or start playing taped with bubble wrap!
