So I just got the Murphy's Fair magazine and couldn't help but notice that these two teams were not included. Anybody have any clue why that is?

Even though Hammontree is a good coach he can be a hard person to deal with sometimes so this don't surprise me. Last year when we played Lenior City there I could of gathered all their fans and not even filled up a bus. So I would take it that the program there is run by people that don't care.

If he isn't the best player in heritage history he has to be right up there. He led them to a victory over a really good catholic team in 2009. That has got to be the biggest win they have had in over a decade.

Both were great players but you're leaving off David McMahon. Played in the early 2000's then went on to start for tennessee tech.

In their first or second season, the Mountaineers had a running back, Richard Hyatt, who scored 6 or 7 td's in one game.  I always thought that was fairly impressive.  Before Cermak their was another linebacker/ rb ... was it Wrobleski maybe?  He was really good.  Actually wanted to come to Maryville at one time and was denied by the middle school principal at that time ... at least that was the strong rumor.
