I TOLD YOU MIDDLETENNESSE MAN!! IT WAS SOMETHING ABOUT BLACKMAN THAT I THOUGHT GAVE THEM THE EDGE...I DID DISAGREE ON JENNINGS RUNNING LATE BUT I KNEW THAT D-LINE THAT YOU SAID WAS NEW AND LOST THE COACH WOULD COME UP BIG....AND THE FACT THAT OAKLAND HAS A NEW SIGNAL CALLER....EVEN WITH ALL THAT D1 TALENT ON THE FRONT LINE ..COULDN'T DOMINATE BLACKMAN'S D-LINE.... AND YOU ASK THE QUESTION FREQUENTLY WHAT DO I KNOW ABOUT BLACKMAN BESIDES THE QB?? WELL THE RB AND THE DEFENSE IS JUST AS DANGEROUS..AND THE WIDEOUTS AINT BAD  EITHER...A COMPLETE TEAM EFFORT....

IF THE GOLD BALL DON'T COME OUT OF RUTHERFORD COUNTY.....I'M COLLECTING ALL COACHING BADGES, LICENSES, AND CERTIFICATES...AND ENROLLING ALL OF YOU IN GQ'S COACHING ACADEMY!!!! #LET'SGO7AAA :hungry: 

 

It would be nice for us Memphis folks to FINALLY meet up with a team not named Maryville in the Title Game  :mrgreen:  :hungry:

Both teams looked pretty good today! Great game played by Blackman. I can say though I now know where oklands players get their mouths from, as I was sitting below the press box and had the privilege of listening to a Oakland coach running his lips to Blackman fans. Considering Blackman had to play against the officials also, I would watch out for these boys making this their year to run all the way to the Gold Ball!

      RR, you might remember. Didn’t someone hide the kicking shoe that game? It seems I remember we had missed a kick the week before, and we needed all the points we could get. We thought we had a better chance going for two, so $?&@$ hid the shoe after the first miss that game. No one on our sideline looked for it very hard.

      I will never forget the 1983 Heritage vs Maryville game. I remember driving home and listening to WGAP. Can't remember the announcers name. He asked Coach Story why he kept going for 2? Story told him " Why didn't you ask Renfro that last year"

      Well nothing new, the Mustangs are really talented again this coming season!  They very well could go undefeated in regular season.  We shall see what happens in postseason.  I think the path to state title game is a little clearer than years past.  I think the Stangs are going to be really good and I think the traditional teams around in 2A are not going to be as strong.  It should be a fun season!
