Anybody ever heard of Chuck Rathbone?

No question that Charles will be someone to be considered as we move into the future selection process.  He was certainly one of the best linemen ever to wear the orange & blue.

Just curious because I remember he coached defensive line at Cleveland for a few years. What is he doing these days? Good guy

Congrats to all those that were inducted though! That's a pretty cool thing!

We are discussing the possibility of honoring a "team" each year when we do the induction.  The 2007 football team would certainly merit discussion.  One stipulation for individual athletes is that you must have been out of William Blount for a minimum of 10 years before induction.

My nominations for next year = Ray Porter, football....Mitch Parker, basketball....and Jeff Williams, baseball.  Maybe if we put them in the Hall of Fame, they will start sharing some of their money with WB.

LoL.. You got to work Chris McCall in there somewhere too, I guess. Though I never remembered him playing any varsity sports.

Have to admit Govman, it stung me a little in a previous thread you omitted me as a Maryville fan that was good friends with the Govman...

You gotta know that was simply an oversight on my part MLREB!  I know of no better friend on these boards!  You remember how mad you use to make me back in the day?  Took me awhile to get you figured out.  And btw, I still believe my Govs are better than Greenback, that they WILL still beat the Mountaineers this year, and that you can safely park your car at Mike White Field without fear of getting your tires slashed or your windows broken.  Of course, I am a homer though.
