Big Games in Memphis - Week 3 Games

Well, well, well ... looks like things are getting interestiing. I'll have the running talley up momentarily. However, some folks were hoodwinked by some teams last week huh? It's hard to be consistent trying to figure out what a bunch of 14 - 17 year olds will do on any given night. Some of you are going to have to break down and go look at some schedules that you wouldn't normally pay any attention to otherwise. Or ... maybe not, you can just keep on taking uneducated guesses ... <evil laugh> ... Bwaaa ... haaaaaa ... haaaaa ... haaaa!

I know some of you just cringe at looking at your picks from last week ... but I know there are some of you who take joy in seeing others struggle in BGIM ... so I've provided you a link to last weeks results ... LOL.

Week 2 Results:

I've selected twleve (12) games for Week 3. I'm going to call these games the Tumultuous Twelve. (I think it has a nice ring to it.)

Game 1: Fairley vs Trezevant @ Melrose Stadium

Purple Bears are on a mission this season.

Trezevant by 16

Game 2: Murfreesboro Oakland @ Arlington

The Pariots have gotten their fair share of West Tenn Ws this season haven't they. It continues Friday.

Oakland by 3

Game 3: Covington @ Brighton

I'll go with the school with the pedigree.

Covington by 6

Game 4: Central @ Whitehaven

Central has good size and a great Athlete at QB, with that said tho...

RESPECT DA HAVEN

Game 5: West Memphis @ CBHS

This will be my last week picking the Purple Wave should they lose.

CBHS by 3

Game 6: Collierville @ Cordova

Collierville by 7

Game 7: East vs White Station @ Melrose Stadium

This will be a fierce 16AAA battle. WS has easily played the toughest 3 game scheduled in the area with Ridgeway and MUS being Close runner-ups. I think WS finally gets off the snide... Not so fast my friend.

Game 9: Tipton-Rosemark Aca. @ FACS

Did Munford get good all of a sudden?

Millington by 24

Game 12: Ridgeway @ Henry County

This is a TOUGH one to pick, but I'm gonna be a Homer and ride with Conard the Road Runners' QB

Obviously my complaints about the SMALL Privates continue to fall on deaf ears   ^_^

Drew Richmond, the 6'-5", 317 lb. OL from MUS has verbally committed to Ole Miss. The Ole Miss coaching staff has a strong connection to Memphis with both Hugh Freeze and Maurice Harris both being ex-Memphis High School football coaches. I think he's the top recruit in Tennessee according to Rivals.

Extremely disappointed in the lack of chatter about the M&M Bowl.  Munford has been a whooped puppy dog for the best part of the last 10 years. The last time I saw any fight from their fan base was the late 1990's when Dernice Wherry led Munford on a run in the state playoffs before going on to play at University of Memphis. Yes, they are 3-0 this year. But, does anyone really believe for a second that this isn't a 4 touchdown spread?
