Intense
Much improved 15 2A brethren come to the TCA lions den this Friday. I look for SH to play fired up and compete. I think TCA will wear them down in 3rd Q but that's much improved from the past. TCA can't look past these guys as they are really building a good program at SH. I think TCA wins pretty handily but if SH could stay close for awhile it would be a huge confidence booster. Good luck to both Lions teams and pray no one gets injured. Trader, would love to meet you. I'll buy you some BBQ nachos if I see you! They're good!! Edited September 15, 2014 by TCAIntense
ReitzFan
I agree that SH is much improved. Looking at their schedule, I think they have a legitimate chance of getting six wins this season. As we all know, it seems like under our current playoff format (and the one that the TSSAA should have stayed with) that six wins is the benchmark to assure a playoff birth in 2A. Now on to the game at hand. I don't see SH being the pushover that they have been in years past. They crossed one hurdle earlier this season with a district victory over Jackson Christian. However, the TCA offense is hitting on all cylinders right now. it is the #1 offense in all of 2A football. Kyle Akin is only two touchdown passes away from ownership of third place on the all time list. He is also less than 100 yards away from third place on the all time passing yardage list as well. Andrew Goldsmith is hitting his stride offensively and James Bond is getting in his jabs as well. The armada of wide receivers for TCA is simply more than any team that we have faced is capable of handling. If TCA can plug the holes in its special teams play and continue to shore up the defense which is actually performing better than it appears on paper, then TCA will be very hard to handle. With respect to Scotts Hill for what they are working hard to accomplish, TCA wins this game 49-13.

tradertwo
Thanks for the well wishes, we need 'em! If the Lions (black & gold ones) gained from the loss at Bruceton what they should have, they'll be ok...nobody expects us to win this one, including me, but this is the type of game you have to endure to get where you want to be as a team. The passing attack worries me, as we've not seen anything close to what TCA brings to the table. Not discounting the run at all, but few teams in the state have the combination of QB and multiple targets to select that are all worthy of the #1 option for most other teams. Lots of pressure, and getting to Akin quickly is the only way that we stop the aerial assault from marching up and down the field at will. We have some speed on the corners, and the safeties aren't slow but there will be gaps...if Akin has time to look, were in deep trouble (as is everyone else). Hope to be there Intense...if so I'll post Friday afternoon.

Feels like football weather buuutttt, a little rain wouldn't be terrible Friday night, maybe a 'couple or three inches? Guess we have to play the best to figure out just how much better we have to be to compete, but it feels like getting a shot at the Dr's office to get better when you have a cold! Oh well, dreading those were always much worse than the actual feeling. Hope to have some positives for the kids morale when the dust settles. Best of luck and hope to have an injury free game. PCsupporter4life
I believe Scotts Hill may turn some heads early but the experience and talent of Trinity Christian Academy will be a little too much for Scotts Hill. Hope the Lions keep their heads up because i believe they won't lose but maybe one more game the rest of the regular season and should get a good seed in the playoffs: Trinity Christian Academy- 52 Scotts Hill- 28 Edited September 18, 2014 by PCsupporter4life

Call my cell and we will meet up. I'm working the novelties sales table on the TCA side from 6 to 6:30. Look forward to meeting you. I will tell the ladies up front that I'm looking for you.
