Well it is just about that time. Clay county and Van Buren play Tuesday night in Celina. It will be the first game for Clay with a full roster they have a ton of young talent. 3 Seniors on the team with most being juniors and sophomores. They have the most size that Clay county has ever put on the floor. After Tuesday night they go to Boyd Christian Friday and then RBS the next Tuesday. Looking forward to some basketball.

District games start tomorrow. Where will everyone finish in the district? I think that this district is wide open and anybody can win it.

Jackson Co and Clay Co are the only two I have seen in person so far. I would say they are pretty close to even with Clay Co having a slight advantage as of now.

What are your thoughts on Monterey vs Pickett?  Just curious haven't saw either team play.

I saw Hall hit 6 3 pointers vs Macon Co earlier this year. I was not at the Cookeville game, they must have played really bad.

Monterey has to be a big favorite on their home court against a young team. But, Monterey lost to LA 77-43 on a neutral court while Pickett Co lost at LA 50-41 without Ferrell and playing their 4th game in 5 nights. It should be a good game.

Looks like this week a few questions will be answered or more will arise. Monterey vs Pickett. Clay vs Clarkerange tonight at Celina and then Clay vs Monterey at Monterey Friday.

Clay beats Clarkrange 47 to 31.

PC beats Monterey by 10. I believe 64 - 54.

I have seen all teams play this year and after seeing Clay County play Clarkrange tonight I can now give my predictions on how 7A will end up, If the coaching at Clarkrange continues to be the same as it was tonight this is my pick..

1 .Clay County 

2. Jackson County

3. Picket County

4. Monterey

5. Clarkrange

Good win tonight for Clay County boys and coaching staff, Bad loss for Clarkrange boys and good loss for coach Pyle, can't blame anyone but him on this one. So tired of hearing his remarks on the radio about how the boys need to be ready to go and ready to play, sick of it. He should be saying something like I need to be ready to coach the team to a win.

Congrats to clay county. Still not playing to their full potential but a great win. Crange looked confused and out of sync. They played a very slow offense. Poor ball movement and alot of turnovers again tonight. Not a good night for the buffs.
