PCsupporter4life
I was more impressed with the win over Clarksville Academy and their twin towers in the sub-state game. I thought they really played above their heads that night. That being said-you are absolutely correct about the need to have basketball knowledge along with the talent. I agree. The big guys Clarksville Academy had were really good and their guards were quick off the dribble. Basically what we saw was Dray Mercer saying i want to make it to State and had 35 points that night. Dray could flat out fly off the dribble. volaholic15
I talked to somebody from Frank Hughes yesterday and got more Knowledge on the Miami transfer. They are originally from Jamaica. The older one is really good but the younger one is average. Possibly JV.....

coachcarterfan
From what I hear, neither is going to help very much. They may play, but only because options are very limited. Because of their religion, they can't play on Fridays and Saturdays.
Vandychris
Had arguably the best player in the district the past two seasons in Matthew Lineberry and it didnt help them either. Just saying.I see Summertown got a really nice win AT Spring Hill. That is a good win for this club. Spring Hill has really put it on them the past two-three years. Here is a clip about the game. While it is a nice win, Im not sure how much stock one can put into it considering. SPRING HILL - Summertown, playing their third game, scored 25 points in the fourth quarter to edge Spring Hill 65-62 on Tuesday. Luke Scott led the way for the Eagles with 25 points. Justin Atkisson and Timmy Beard added nine and eight points respectively. Noah Mayes connected for five treys and tallied 19 points for the Raiders. Mayes was one of four freshman playing for Spring Hill, who did not have their football players available. Kedron McAllister added 15 points for Spring Hill. From what I understood at the game the other night, Spring Hill doesn't have much more than they played against Summertown as far as scoring goes. If not for the fact that Summertown was slow in recognizing they needed to cover #22 a freshman, the score would have been much different. Once they put someone on him, it shut the "3" down. HE WILL BE A PLAYER TO WATCH IN THE FUTURE
volaholic15
Loretto dropped to a private school in Alabama 54-
RedTang
Considering Loretto had 26 turnovers and probably one of the worst nights shooting in a long time they still only lost by 2. Oh then the 30+ fouls on Loretto and only 14 for Mars Hill might have contributed a little, really Loretto had 30+ and they had 14. Regardless of the fouls Loretto should have won. I think a lot of it had to do with all the substituting Loretto was doing. So much subbing for Loretto nobody could ever get it going. volaholic15
Sounds a lot like bad officiating.... But maybe Loretto students haven't learned discipline yet.... They didn't know what it was in '
RedTang
Considering the girls game was officiated the same I would tend to think it was the officials in regards to the fouls. Must not like Tennessee teams, lol. Again, Loretto should have won regardless of the officiating just way too many turnovers and players just not able to get things going is why Loretto lost the game. I attended this game and Loretto just flat got out played. Mars hill might have averaged 5'10 across the board and held Loretto to very few second chance points. I expected Loretto and their size to dominate the rebounding margin but Mars Hill done a great job keeping them off the boards. Turnovers hurt the mustangs as well but give credit where it due. Mars Hill flat got after it!! BIG but a lack of toughness for the mustangs who I was told would walk through the district.
