9aafan
A little fuel for this discussion. Video from 2nd Round TSSAA Playoff Nov 9th 2012. Side note/personal opinion so take it for what ot is worth: I get to watch a mixture of all classifications here in the mid TN area and I can say from side line comparisons of 6A down to 1A football teams. I have seen a couple 6A schools that NCS would probably beat. The depth of bench would be a challenge for NCS to overcome with the larger schools as they have a few athletes that would complete and be good at any classification. They would be obvious underdogs with all the teams on the recent Tennessean Top 10 But they could possibly upset one of these top teams unlikely but possible. I see NCS mercy rule Clarksville Academy. And then again couple weeks later in the Playoffs. Just give ole Ricky Bowers a call. I'm sure they would live to play the mighty Eagles!! bigb31072
Yeah, I read where they may get CPA in the playoffs. We'll see how they fare against the mighty top 10. I'm sure Brent will have a few trick plays ready. Hope he has a lot.
NCSdad1962
From today's Tennessean........ Clarksville Academy (7-2, 4-0) at Nashville Christian (9-0, 4-0) When: Friday, 7:30 p.m. Nashville Christian has to be feeling good following its 19-0 non-district win over East Nashville. But the unbeaten Eagles must quickly turn their attention to an even more important game this week against the Clarksville Academy Cougars, which will determine a District 10-A champion. The Cougars have scored at least 35 points in each of their seven wins this season, while Nashville Christian has pitched three consecutive shutouts against East Robertson, McEwen and East Nashville. Nashville Christian 30, Clarksville Academy
TheAmbassador
NCS will mercy rule them. Clarksville Academy is way overrated.
CwoodGreen
Here we go again...... You realize we are just having fun on here, right? Browse through some other threads (I'd suggest Collinwood, South Pitt, Wayne County). The comments are in good fun. We are all just overweight middle-age has-beens having a little fun. You want to see some really nasty stuff? Grab your kid's phone and ask him to show you the twitter conversations going on about these games Sounds like you are a bit overly sensitive or just not following along very well. And comments about heritage? You'll need a concrete example of that or you've just lost all credibility. If you find one, then I'm sorry for not seeing it before. But I'm pretty sure you're mistaken. Really good post.

gtripledip
This will be a closer game than most think..In my opinion, Clarksville Academy has the ability and can pull upset over Nashville Christian. We will have to wait and see if we can get the job done. I've stay out the fray. I dont want to argue or mudsling. The players will settle it on the field. This will be the 4th year in a row the seniors on both of these teams have played each other. They know each other well. Some are even friends. Hope both teams stay injury free. We will know the exact outcome by this time tomorrow. Either way both teams are in the playoffs. I am anxious to see the seeding on Saturday Morning. See you guys tomorrow night. I did watch the East Nashville vs NCS game. The defense for NCS was impressive. Go Cougars!

I'll join you in praying for an injury free game for both sides. CA is going to play lights out for the first half at least and it might actually be close at halftime. But NCS's depth will prove the difference in the second half. It's just challenging for the many CA players that play both ways to keep the level of intensity needed when they never leave the field. FYI. There is a $5 chili supper beginning at 6 on the baseball field and a trunk or treat for the elementary school age kids from 6:30-7:00 in the parking lot. CA families are always welcome! I watched CA's film for the last two games and was really impressed with the linemen and some of the holes they opened up for your backs. Big and fast. Probably will be a challenge for NCS. It's Halloween, it CA's Super Bowl equivalent, and that always entertaining and tricky Coach Hood at the helm, I anticipate a fake punt or two, an onside kick to start the game if CA kicks off, and some gadget plays from CA. Should be a scream! Edited October 31, 2014 by kenmynattcpa
