Playoffs on Saturdays?

With the new playoff system going into effect next year.  Wondering what some of you might think about having playoff games on Saturday mornings/afternoons with either an 11:00 or 1:00 start.  I think the 1:00 o'clock start would be better.  This would help with some of the travel if teams have to go a ways.  Plus weather it may be warmer during a day game.  And you may get a better crowd also.  I would leave it up to the 2 schools who are paired to play.  Yes, if you win it may give you one less prep day but it does give you another prep day before.  Just a thought, please reply with what you think.

I prefer Friday night games.  Plus, I don't think travel will necessarily be any worse in the new system than it was with the Z plan, at least for 5A and below.

So you think you can compete against colleges and have a good crowd?  I would rather have all games on Friday nights and start  @  7:30 .

no way!!!!! makes no sense-why would playing on a saturday help with travel? teams still have to travel-putting it off an extra day would just mean less prep time for the next game if you win-only way to play on saturday is if you make it to cookvegas and you're a 2, 4, or 6a school!!!

For all us super football nuts, Friday night lights for the HS's, Sat. is for College ball, and Sun. is for the Pro's!! That's how we like it!! The American way!!!! Yaaaaaa!!!

TSSAA playoff games are set for Friday. Only way it can move you gotta have TSSAA permission to move it and you got have a good reason to move it
