Looks like the Cherokees are gonna go broke not to mention(please forgive me Highlanders)going to the worst 1A football region in the state.This Suc#s!

Greenback will have to play teams in non district that will draw crowds not wins

Just recommendations until next Thursday...Jason better be blowing our area's Board of Control member phone up, which is Jody Wright at Fulton.  This is just plain stupid I could see Concord being in that region, just simply because they placed Grace there when they started out and they also have very quick access to the Interstate unlike us.  Jellico would be a better fit I would think than us as well, considering they were in that region already before the z-plan and you can hit the Interstate with a rock from their football field.  Also we have been in the same district/region with Midway for 25+years.

Gonna be a tough pill to swallow for gb. Cloudland will be your only challenge. A lot of driving for both teams

Straight up shocked to see Jellico not here.. BTW did you guys see they flipped regions 4 and 5? TC goes west now, if this stands.

Most surprising to me is that these teams will have to find 6 non-conference games. That's rough.

 

It wouldn't surprise me at all to see one Region 2 team go east before it's said and done at the final meeting in a week.

Well for Unaka, I'd get HV, Hampton, and NG for sure. Maybe Cumberland Gap, and a couple of Unaka-like SWVA schools, like a Twin Springs or Castlewood. Or maybe Holston. Thats just on the other side of Cross Mtn, would bring a decent gate.

Stupid looking mess ans extremely unfair to teams all across the state. 5 teams in 1 region and 8 or 9 in others ,just not fair. I could also see scheduling problems for some of these teams. I fully expect a loud outcry from some and things may change a little by Thrusday

Sullivan East will most likely play Cloudland or Unaka.

I'd say Unicoi County will try to schedule Unaka or Cloudland as well.

Yall better book plane tickets or hotel rooms in this region...like it's been said before the cutoff from A to AA should be raised by about 25 then this could be fixed. Cosby Hampton and N.G. should all still be in Region 1A. Not region 1AA

I could see the board sending Jellico to region 1 so both region 1 and 2 will have 6 teams
