GWAVE1...Wonder why these schools were denied when they wanted to move but schools like Centennial and Brentwood were forced to go? Strange...

It's all about the gate money. Even though they are closer, the gate money between the Clarksville schools and metro would be minimal. Hillsboro and Hunters Lane wanted to go I was told to have a better chance of getting in the playoffs. Better chance playing the Clarksville schools but lesser gate.

The direction of the TSSAA is not to help any schools out its to test market over the next two years how teams travel and how well the gates do, thus the super 32, all teams are in so TSSAA can see how the concept works, then after two years they will develop an all in playoff system for all the teams in the state knowing from their data what the numbers will be, there is many states adopting this and you can bank on it, it is about $$$ not convenience, the way it will be approached by TSSAA will be how well it worked for 6A so we must do it to be FAIR and also give schools that never have a chance to make playoffs a fair shake, just think for a moment how well a school that has never hosted or even played in a playoff game would approach that from a fan base, guys its all bout using, everyone gets a trophy mindset to line a bunch of pockets in a non for profit organization.

This setup looks pretty good to me. 4 regions in east ten, and four regions for the rest of the state in 5a.

Do have 1 question. Why would you take White Co and make them play in a different time zone that all the other schools in there region? NOW THAT SEEMS UNFAIR!

No kidding as a White Co fan it is absolutely ridiculous that we have to play in the eastern time zone. When York had the same complaint as we did and they got to move back to there old region.

Look at the positive side...you'll be home the same time with away and home games!

I don't have a dog in the hunt but where would you put White County if they did move them out of a majority Eastern Time Zone?

Region 5 already will have 8 teams as well as every other Region from 5-8.

IMO even with the time zone difference travel for White Co. should be pretty easy going to play Region 4 teams compared to getting to a lot of Region 5 games.

Just hop on Highway 111 straight into Chattanooga area from Sparta.

That would be a lot easier travel I would think than getting to Columbia, Thompson's Station & Spring Hill!
