Roy, you should know that SP isn't scrimmaging this spring. You told me so yourself. Too many kids in baseball that won't be available for spring practice. Who would be your QB, Roy.... They all are involved in other sports. The baseball team is a veteran team and it's very likely they have a shot at landing in the state next week. You told me this yourself...... "Roy"

Old Pirate says the spring practice jest got a shot in the arm! Leastways, congrats to the baseball youngons on a good season. Some figure they fell short of expectations but it's feuding time soon, so get busy in the weight house.

I talked to this man today at Foodland and he said Grider was not going to have a practice game. This is a bunch of mess. The only thing I can think of is since Grider quit coaching two years ago he has some new secrets now and doesnt want anybody to find out about them. You think im joking but im not.

Practice games can sometimes lead to injuries. Maybe not such a bad idea after all.

I heard it was because there wasn't money in the budget for McDonalds if they had to travel.

Glenn said that didn't just make them kinda slow, but real slow.

I think we as SP faithful need to downplay this years team. With all the new guys that haven't played football in 1-3 years you never know how good their football mentality is. However, to help this team succeed we need to not set the expectations so high. So I will start out by saying 7-3 record with losses to Jasper, Boyd, and 1 other team maybe Sequatchie. Will make the playoffs but go down in the 2nd round.

That's a realistic prediction. We could possibly advance further depending on the draw in a very, very weak east side.

i wouldn't call it weak. Just weaker than the west. The thing about the east is more teams are on the same level rather than in the past being lopsided to just 1-2 teams.
