I hope by saying freshmen you don't mean eighth graders this year. If they play a lot then sp is in deeper trouble than I thought.

SP has been known to start Freshmen and Sophomores.  Zalmer Chubb, Cody Walker to name a couple.  There was also a kid that played QB as a Freshman and moved to back in later years.  It has been common in the past to use better Freshmen and Sophomores to fill in to spell starters to help with the depth.  Remember the Pirates have always been a true A and 1a sized school and never hat the 65 and 70 player rosters that KC and the sunshine band had.

Would have to say that Cody would have had a legitimate argument to challenge Wigfall as the best running back this valley has ever seen if he could have finished his career at SP.

Sequatchie County- Dunlap will be a tough opener for our guys. Coach Caine will have those guys improved in 2015.
