FWIW, according to the JC Press over the last few games the defense has allowed this many points:

 

DB: 41, 22, 49, 56, 21, 39 (avg 38)
SH: 0, 7, 8, 17, 22 (avg 11)

 

NOTE:  the JCP conveniently left out the score when SH played Maryville but included it when DB played them

 

But here's the thing, if DB is to even have a shot at this one it will not be the defense who does it, they are going to have to get into an offensive shootout and hope for something along the lines of 48-44

Sometimes it takes a while for parts of a team to come together and it might not be players or coaches.I remember a defense that was very strong at the first of the year for Greeneville but the offense was young.The defense might get a couple of minutes rest before the O turned it over.By the end of that year the offense was clicking and the D couldn't stop anyone because of injuries and it was one of the worst seasons Greeneville had by record.The next year Greeneville didn't have it's best defensive player from the year before and another stud or two and one of it's best coaches who went on to become a legend at another school.With all that,the defense was one of the all time best in the Imac .Even less talent on the field and in the coaching but the team grew up.I hope this DB team can grow up tonight and the seniors can leave J fred with the pride of knowing that they gave all they had.If this is your last time playing a game you love at home,you want to give everything that you have and take that with you beyond this year and look back with the pride of knowing you left nothing on the field but gave your all.Play every down like it's your last and enjoy every second until the year is over.Not just the seniors,but everyone should play every down as hard as you can and be able to look in the mirror and say you gave your all and that's all any of us can do in life.Roll Tribe !

So what you're saying is that just maybe the coaches on the defense side might possibly all of the sudden out of nowhere become good coaches and all of the sudden in one weeks time turn this horrible defense that they have created into a good defense. Well GOD did create the Heavens and the Earth in seven days so maybe.......

Actually six days, but your point is well stated.      From what I've seen DB has the offense to stand toe to toe with SH, but defense will be the difference tonight

Mostly saying give all you have and when you walk off the field tonight be dang proud of your efforts. If a player is on defense, offense, special teams, it doesn't matter, just be able to say you give your all.

it was less then that, God messed around with other things for a few days.Either way he didn't rest on friday night and neither should DB.Roll Tribe !
