LBD, What is the latest on Lebanon? I had heard there were many that were not happy with Coach Harp and wanted a change. What to the players think about him?

I honestly couldn't tell you. My time in Lebanon was brief but I can tell you right now that before Harp they weren't happy with Crane and before Crane they weren't happy either. The expectations for football in Lebanon aren't realistic. That is not from administration. Myra Sloan and the rest of the admin are a great group of people. Simply said......The talent is mediocre and the competition is elite. The new school is nice and the facilities are nice. Having said that however there is a reason why Lebanon football isn't on par. Sam Harp is a Hall of Fame caliber coach in the state of Kentucky. I've had many conversations with him in the past. If I could talk to him today I would tell him the same thing that I did when I was there. RUN! He didn't suddenly become "football stupid" overnight. His desire to win didn't just suddenly "disappear". It has nothing to do with "X's and O's/Facilities/Administration Support/Etc." It has everything to do with having mediocre talent and playing against some of the state's elite competition. Lebanon could hire George Quarles or Gary Rankin and the results would be the same.

I understand. Growing up in KY. I saw him win state championship after  state championship. He is an excellent coach. I hope he gets more young men out that want to play. He is a winner.
