Are you saying that Franklin is the #1 team in the state with that prediction against Gallatin?

 

Can you tell us what is wrong with the Vols?

I dunno if I can answer your second question, but I'll take a shot at the first one.

 

I think Franklin is one of the top 5 teams in 5A. I don't know whether or not they're the best, but they're certainly up there. My Gallatin prediction is a bit risky, I know...but I think Franklin is that good. Their offensive (but not insulting) speed will overcome Gallatin's D, and their tenacious defense will not exactly squelch the talented Green Wave attack, but they'll do what it takes. This will be close for 3 quarters. Then I see the Rebels emerging as the victors.

Good picks. I can't wait for G'Town to play the Middle Tennessee schools. No offense to JCM, as I am former Jacksonian, but sans Brooks, they don't have the horses to run with the Red Devils next week. Just a little FYI for those who don't know, CBHS and Germantown renew the rivalry next year. So much for the publics avoiding the privates....

I'm glad to see that rivalry being renewed. Should be a great matchup. How far apart are those two schools?

I agree with all your picks. If I had to choose one just to be different I would likely pick Dickson County over Brentwood. Dickson County has a way with upsetting higher ranked teams in the playoffs.

there are going to be some great games this week. I know Franklin has a great team this year. But Gallatin is also playing very well right now and these are two teams that have played already this season. They played each other in preseason and Gallatin won. I know that was 15 weeks ago and things have changed, Goodluck to both squads. As always, Go Wave

Wes, your picks are right on. Gallatin peaked too early in the season and has showed it in struggling wins against Beech and Centennial. Franklin is just too much for the Green Wave. As for a Dickson Co. upset, I think a 24-0 Brentwood win earlier this season tells you what I'm thinking.
