All good points TReb, but the way I understand it they are looking for HC experience.

Shouldn't be a problem. I have already had a handful of coaches contact me trying to get some inside info-of course I sent them in direction of rw87.

According to the read in the paper, the AD didn't decide to make the job available. Will it be the AD who fills the job or the administration? A search/hiring committee?

Will the committee be called the RebClub? Wonder what the dues will be?

WOW....how is Lambert not a shoe in.....HC experience??? just because you carry the name assistant does not mean you haven't carried the roll of HC and have the experience of one as well....should be Lambert hands down.

I agree. He has to be the first guy on the list. I'm not sure he would take it though. He coaches a couple of basketball teams in the fall. I understand the other coach's commitment to other sports caused some of the problem.

I would think he would happily give those up to be the HC of the high school baseball program wouldn't you?  Then he is only coaching one sport year around instead of the 3 sports and could concentrate even more on player development within the baseball program, yes?

That all makes sense to me. Sadly I work for $$ instead of enjoyment, so losing the stipend would affect me. I don't know his situation. It will be interesting to see if many coaches show an interest in the job.
