Does this year look to be as dismal?

I'm not sure. But Murphy Fair has them finishing in last or next to last place in the region.

What is going on with the Jeff County program? Over the years there doesn't seem to be much talk on the T about them. Just curious.

It will never get any better until they have better assistant coaches. Since Kisabeth left every coach has had assistant coaches to deal with from the previous staff. There have been new coaches but not an entirely new staff. They have to work with what is left to them ! Administration will not pay for a better coach or assistants ! Jefferson County Administration wants a Cadillac coach on a Chevy budget  !

Unless one of the other 7 teams has gotten a huge amount of D1 transfers , I don't see but two ways to beat Maryville. Forfeit or divine intervention.That only leaves a forfeit because I'm pretty sure that Maryville already has divine intervention on the Rebels side.

Comments like this are some of the reasons nobody seems to be able to be competitive vs maryville!.DB's fan base and pretty much every other fan base puts Maryville on a pedestal.And YES they can be beat,and NO it doesn't take an act from GOD to do it.Maryville don't need any help building themselves up!.They prove it on the field,Someone made a remark the other day on the TOPIC=WILL DB EVER BE A LEGITIMATE TITLE CONTENDED,Saying how folks shouldn't be making remarks about GC and him being fired because players get on here and see it,and makes them not have any faith in GC and hurts the program..But I ask,How is this any different?I know for one having played that when your on fanbase/family and friends going around saying how you can't beat this team or that team,It becomes a mental block.And some players start feeding into it and you're team is beaten before THEY get off the bus,JUST SAYIN Edited August 6, 2015 by DBfaninthe37660

I agree with a lot of what your saying but the fact is,when you get off the bus at Maryville you better be a special team that has great coaches from the top to the bottom as well as just about every good athlete that your school has .If you have one coach that doesn't know his head from his backside { had to clean that up }then your beat.I have yet to see that complete team in NET.Also just sayin

I can't remember a team from up here beating a GQ team ,so yep it would be a special team from that standpoint

There was one team in 2001 but MW had to play Mayville again in the playoffs.They done it again in 2003.That's going back a ways.Not many teams have beat them since but your right,any team can be beat.

It looks like Region 1 6A leads the state in two word school names. One even has a hyphen.
