Why doesn't maryville play other states top teams?

We took a look at four schools out that way. One will have an opening after this year. They have the second year of a home/away with Southlake Carroll this season.

Why would they ? You could play the 10 top ranked teams in the country and somebody would still say they dodged a team or were not as good as someone. If you win your state championship,you have done enough to be plenty proud

What does that have to do with playing a Football game in the friendly confines of Da Haven? Not a Dam thing... Just like all East Tennessee Folks aren't inbred hicks, though, quite a few are.

Have you ever been to ORANGE MOUND for a Friday night football game? FYI, it's nothing like anything that you will see in East or Middle Tennessee.

And why is that? Because Memphis didn't make it to the finals the other 3 years. Maryville is 3-0 against teams that Memphis is 0-3 against.
