They are a bunch of computer geeks who have never played the game before in their lives. I wonder who else their "team" has avoided playing in the past. I know I know "but LBD we are the second best team in the state behind Maryville." LOL that's their claim to fame. Pathetic!

"Those who can't play generally find their way up to the PA announcing position of a successful program after being rejected by another successful program and then leeches on and claim they've witnessed every meaningful moment for the last 25 years when in fact they have no clue what they're talking about" -Unknown.

I think I got that quote correct...

EXACTLY! Alcoa's fans can't accept that they were beaten soundly by a better football team last year. 3 out of the last 4 years Alcoa has watched another school in 3A win the state championship. All 3 of those teams beat Alcoa on their way to winning the state title. Alcoa is a shell of the big bad beast of 2010. Now they are scared hoping that someone like White House-Heritage can luck up and beat CPA because deep down they know that they have no chance. That's why they didn't schedule Fulton for the last 3 years. They are content with saying "only Maryville can beat us" but they would never be able to accept the reality of being pounded by Knoxville Fulton on top of that. Alcoa is a quality football team but no longer a "dynasty" like some of their CoachT blowhards want everyone to believe. Keep on beating Loudon, Scott, McMinn, and Kingston. That's where Alcoa's bragging rights stop these days.

AMEN BROTHER !!!!!

You think 7-0 is beating someone soundly? Yeah....Alcoa is totally scared and has no chance. You've hit a level of stupid that was unseen before.

Like BGA dropped the state title to Webb in both football and soccer? Hahahaha

sure, or like Alcoa dropping all three passes they attempted against CPA in the beat down you received in the last years championship game.  Alcoa set the game of football back 40 years with that offence.

How many state titles did Alcoa bring home in all sports last year?

If you call 7-0 a beatdown, I can't even begin to describe the level of stupid you've reached. And we had two wrestlers win state titles last year, more than BGA had. Nice try!

    • That was after the 2nd year of a 4 year cycle.  Since Covid we have been on a 2 year cycle.  So, there really isn't a "mid cycle" reclassification this time.   Idk if there's anything in place to address the issue of a school closing.  My guess is, nothing can be done.  This would be akin to the 1st year of a 4 year cycle, where a school has the 20% +/- but not allowed or even have the option to move up or down.
    • No reasonable lawyer would take up this case. I am not a lawyer, but I know school law in and out.  Similar situations just like this play out thousands of times each year across the country, even at the college level (i.e. Ole Miss)  The Plaintiff's never win...ever.  If I am wrong, please provide a legal precedent for me. I will be waiting.  https://www.espn.com/college-football/story/_/id/39431892/judge-drops-ole-miss-player-lawsuit-lane-kiffin
    • Yes Justin Cruse was named head coach
    • It used to be, I think it still is, a change of 20% +/- gives reason to reclassify. Schools can choose to play up classifications but not down. Here is the mid cycle reclassification info on TSSAA.org When Memphis East changed from a regular public school to an "all-optional" school in 2017 the would've dropped to A but chose to stay in AAA in basketball (baseball, and softball) Penny was still coaching there and with the players they had they would've beaten A teams by 40 and slept walked to the championship. Other Memphis schools stayed in their classifications (mostly in basketball) until the next reclassification cycle. Of course this is the same time that a 4th class was added basketball.
